🎨 Self-submission Phew Reddit picture glitch and displaying my second attempt at Lara out 😂
Ok Reddit had a weird moment where you couldn’t upload pictures. But since that question was not a meaningful post I will put my drawing here. Anyway redid with affinity photo instead of procreate. Used ink instead of airbrush and only used guarssion blur on her cuff and pistol rather then the whole picture itself

🖼️ Image TR2 Remake: Logic in Maria Doria, or fantasy?
Do you think they should come up with a logical explanation for the air-filled spaces in the *Maria Doria* and the underwater caves, or just lean into the fantasy and fun, like in the classic *TR2*?
Technically, walking and running inside a sunken ship wouldn't be possible, but *TR2* never really followed strict logic, right?
I PREFER THE FANTASY AND FUN.

🗨️ Discussion Those of you who have yet to play the 360 versions of Legend, Anniversary and Underworld, and still haven't bought an Xbox, you can now cloud stream all three of them
https://www.trueachievements.com/news/xbox-cloud-gaming-update-september-2026
Legend, Anniversary and Underworld, as well as their DLC's, are now playable via Xbox cloud streaming.
So as a TR fan, if you didn't buy an Xbox 360, One or Series console yet for whatever reason, now you really have no excuse to not play the exclusive DLC and the better versions of these games 😁
You can even pair a Bluetooth controller with your smart TV, install the Xbox app on the TV and play it that way.

🗨️ Discussion Make Lara dirty
(May contain spoilers if you didnt watch the Gamescom or Trailers)
I know some people hate or will hate on this, but I'm hoping they bring this feature where you can get Lara dirty if you roll on mud like it happens in the Survivor trilogy, especially because you can always wash it off with water.
First of all, I'm not saying that she should always be muddy and messy, I also dont like when she's like that all the time, so it could be just a temporary effect. But I admit that it brings so much more live to the game when we can feel that the character is actually there, interacting with the world around.
I did notice some people complaing about it when the trailer dropped, and honestly that's probably a reason why they removed the mud from Lara in this specific cutscene from Legacy of Atlantis (Image 1 is from the Announcement Trailer; Image 2 is from Gamescom 2026).
Not sure why but in this cutscene I just like to see her all covered in mud while she runs from the T-rex, even her forearms, because she sliding on mud, obviously.
So at the end I hope they could at least bring this feature back, even if just for this cutscene, it makes everything feel more dramatic, and because we know that shortly after she's going to fall on a river, so I dont see a problem with her getting dirty, at least in this situation.

Tomb Raider Chronicles With rumors of more games getting remakes, what do you think a Tomb Raider: Chronicles remake would be like, seeing as it's more "unique" compared to the other classics?

Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness I really hope kurtis trent is never brought back as a playable character
Its just strange that they ever made that choice in the first place. It’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Lara has always been the central character, and Toby Gard specifically envisioned her as an independent woman who had no interest in men or being defined by a romantic relationship.
Thats why Ive never really liked the early-2000s tendency to give Lara male counterparts or “equals” to accompany her on adventures like kurtis or terry or chase. It went against alot of what made Lara distinctive in the first place.
I rlly hope that if he ever comes back, hes kept as a side character. Other than a DLC or spinoff, Id hate to play as anyone other than Lara (though Id prefer him not come back at all)

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered I had to drag myself to finish TR1 remastered as opposed to TR2, is TR3 similar to the 1st game or the 2nd?
Not sure if others like TR1, maybe my mistake was starting with TR2 because it's what I had back in the days and never learned to play it. I really really enjoyed TR2 remastered, the locations, mechanics, design, places, everything about it was amazing. TR1 however felt like a drag and a bit dull, it took me months to play it, while i finished TR2 within a week.
How does TR3 hold up compared to the other two? i've heard it's the problematic one out of the series.
To add, how are TR4 and TR5?

🗨️ Discussion Lara Croft Age in LAU and Survivor and potential carry over for the unified timeline
With the rumors about more reimaginings in the works I do wonder whether they plan to unify Lara on the LAU and Survivor axis.
They stated already that Survivor is her origin story and that Catalyst is due after Underworld so that focus makes sense.
I did some digging for how old Lara is during the games after a comment thread the other day and I was surprised by how many years most posts and AI summaries add to Laras age, with the worst ones adding up to 10 years to her for some LAU titles.
So this post is mostly supposed to gather more intel in case I missed something credible like ingame material or dev interviews. And perhaps to take a look at knock on effects for a potentially unified timeline centered around non classic as classic games get remade and then fitted.
What I got for Laras age for Survivor is basically:
- 2013: 21 as confirmed by the devs
- Rise: 22 within one year of 2013 as by the devs
- Shadow: 22 to 23 mainly from Rourkes ingame comment
Didnt find a perfectly credible source to put her at 23 for shadow but its likely as per the early 20s comment ingame.
For the LAU era it sucked the most as there is nothing definitive said about years other than her mom dying when shes 9 and knowing shes 18+ from the inheritance.
The most likely indicator is her birth year for 1977 and then adjusting the release date a bit for the rumored development time to get an age range that also supports her ingame look.
Anniversary is a bit of an oddball here as I found little other than knowing it plays before Legend which could mean Lara is significantly younger than my estimates but visually Id say mid 20s.
So I got:
- Anniversary: 24+
- Legend: 26-29
- Underworld: 28-31
So much for the factual part
____
Now for the unified timeline (somewhat disregarding classic until remade):
When Shadow came out it had a post credit scene with a letter from Natla making me think that the original tie was closer between Shadow an upcoming Atlantis.
If Lara is early 20s for Shadows then the whole LAU kinda neatly slots in.
Likewise if Lara is just about 30 for Underworld that means that Catalyst Lara who looks a lot more mature would also fit mid 30/late 30s quite well.
This also gives ample time between her Underworld look and Catalyst to not have the jarring visuals issue of Lara aging up 10 years in 2 as some of the more stretched timeline attempts would lead to as they need to space things out quite a lot.

🗨️ Discussion Playing TRIII on my phone
It’s been so long that I’ve forgotten a lot of it! Area 51 was a hoot. Even on this small screen with these blocky graphics it’s still really tense and scary in places! A lot of the precision jumps and timed runs are really hard to do without being able to do side or backward jumps but I’m persevering lol.
I couldn’t play TRII since as soon as I paid the $30 for the app, the next level that wasn’t a free trial (Venice) had no volume. So that sucked but I still think it’s worth it for the nostalgia. Anyway I’m rambling but just thought I’d share in case anyone else is nutty enough to be playing the old games this way.
