Since the booking of Tomorrowland winter 2027 is in less than 2 months, I’d like to take the opportunity to gather some information before making concrete plans. Hopefully, what’s shared here will be useful for everyone who’s planning to go! I understand that there might be previous threads that would ask the same things but let’s keep in mind that situation changes and prices go up as well. Sorry for the barrage of questions but thanks in advance!
Background:
2 pax here — we are planning to fly in to Milan or Zurich, rent a car and make our way up to Alpe d’Huez. We are thinking of getting the 4 day package with Club Med Alpe d’Huez.
1. Getting there:
1a: has anyone who took the 4 day package experienced any traffic congestion by private car rental, going up Alpe d’Huez?
1b: how much time needed — with / without congestion?
1c: would it be advisable or even possible to make a one night arrangement before the 4 day package if I want to be there a day earlier? I read that the risk of it being cancelled last minute by Airbnb owners only to re-list their properties at a higher price is quite high.
1d: in that case, would staying in Grenoble for a night make much sense?
2. Staying there:
2a: is the walk to and from the main stage and Club Med manageable? I see on google reviews that some people took 20 mins to walk back from the main stage.
2b: how’s your stay at Club Med? I saw very mixed reviews on google maps about Club Med.
2c: lol, do people “bottle” their drinks at Club Med and bring them out to the festival or the slopes?
2d: what are the closest ski lifts to Club Med? How far a walk are they?
2e: I see that Club Med has their own magic carpet but do they have their own slopes and ski lifts too?
2f: are the Club Med free lessons packed during Tomorrowland?
2g: are these lessons done in private groups? Say we are at intermediate level and we need more precise learning.
2h: how far in advance do we have to book these lessons with Club Med?
2i: if I were to consider other gold level accommodation packages with Tomorrowland, are there any that is on par with Club Med? Which are the ones closer to the main stage with good views, and food and alcohol inclusion?
3. Slopes there:
3a: is Alpe d’Huez the one and only ski resort there or is it like Chamonix, where there are several?
4. Partying there:
4a: I’ve noted that the comfort pass was €385 per pax in 2026 - is it worthwhile?
4b: I read here that some people managed to bring in a camelbag (water bladder) - is that worth a shot?
4c: based on past years experience, is there anyone able to share or point out where the different stages (both in town and on slopes) are located via google map? Have the location of the stages stayed the same or moved every year?
5. Leaving Alpe d’Huez:
5a: how chaotic does it get on the departure day?
5b: I am sure people are also thinking of leaving early in order to not get “stuck”, but what is the traffic situation like heading down the mountain in your own car rental?
