Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) The creators got really butt-hurt by fans/critics so they insult/attack them.

  1. The second episode of The Red Ape Family has the main guy wake up from a nightmare and say “we got hated on by a bunch of trolls in their mothers basement“ then there was the jab at Saberspark with “Saberfart“.

  2. The Watchmojo crashout in response to a video criticising them.

You know that incompetent mayor and his dumb advisor from Godzilla 1998?They were based on Siskell and Ebert two movie critics that didn't liked Independency day, funny thing is they weren't upset that Rolland Emmerich mocked them in the movie, they were upset they were in the movie and weren't killed by the monster.

194

u/NarmHull 1h ago

Pretty good lookalikes they got. I too would've wanted to be killed, I'd even have played myself or the parody character.

Who wants to stay alive in fucking Godzilla 98?

Say what you will about the movie but that 1998 Godzilla soundtrack was straight FIRE

Rage Against the Machine

Green Day

Foo Fighters

Silverchair

I get it. If you're going to put an unflattering caricature of someone you despise in a monster movie, have the monster kill them.

u/Ultimate-desu 2h ago

I still think the trope can work if its actually funny and general enough to not be a "screw you Thomas Wilson from California on 2898 Harvest Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90017!" or some shit.

97

u/RadarSmith 2h ago

There's taking the piss, which can be fun for everyone, and then there's throwing a tantrum, which is what OP is talking about.

31

u/Ultimate-desu 2h ago

Oh tantrums? Yeah no those suck in pretty much every case, fair enough.

Multiple episodes of TTG were about poking fun at critics, going "Fuck you, you're dumb", and rinse and repeat. They even used Control Freak as a straw man who complains that the new teen titans show isn't as good as the original. Kinda makes sense though as he canoically has an unhealthy relationship with his favorite media. But most people criticizing this show aren't like that, there's plenty of valid stuff to critique.

181

u/go_faster1 2h ago

Then there's the episode mocking people for hating the upcoming Thundercats ROAR! cartoon, even bringing back Lion-O's original voice actor to mock these people...

...and the show is cancelled before it even fully aired.

108

u/CompleteJinx 1h ago

Ironically, the crossover that was meant to defend the show destroyed what little good will it had. Making fun of Panthro’s actor dying was a low blow.

55

u/LackToesIntollerance 1h ago

It's because the first time ttg did it, it went viral. The cartoon network executives got the wrong message. So they quintupled down.

The quintupled down so hard that it basically killed off the station. The era of teen titans go all the time is the water shed between good and new cartoon network

13

u/WhyIsRComicsJustPorn 1h ago

wait what? how did they do that? what did the joke consist off of

17

u/CompleteJinx 1h ago

I can’t remember the exact set up but while original Liono praised the Roar team it cut to a shot of the 2011 reboot Liono in a cave with Panthro’s remains.

3

u/UbiqAP 31m ago

Even worse, everybody blamed that episode on the Roar! staff.

71

u/ballonfightaddicted 1h ago

They still do the "own the hater" episodes despite the fact most online discourse has dried up about them

20

u/Backupusername 1h ago

They're still making this?!

5

u/LizzieMiles 29m ago

The show gets way too many viewers for them to ever stop, there’s a reason they’re confident enough to pull this shit constantly

3

u/DMercenary 32m ago

Yes. A 10th season is in production. They even had movies.

40

u/RShini 1h ago

which is kind of ridiculous, as the criticism would've died a lot quicker if they simply ignored the 2003 Titans fans

20

u/Ok_Attorney_6084 1h ago

The first time was funny as fuck, actually. Then they did it like thrice more and it started sounding they're just insuecure about their show.

23

u/HospitalLazy1880 1h ago edited 1h ago

GO is a funny show but they screwed up by making it the only Teen Titans or Teen Titans equivalent show and having it be a full on satire of it making it seem like they were just shitting on the fans.

The episodes they made to say fuck you hater just made the situation worse.

20

u/Evilmudbug 1h ago

There definitely would have been much less hate for it if there was an alternative for the people who want something a bit more serious.

Nobody complains about baby marvel shows existing because there's plenty of marvel media for everyone else

2

u/freylaudt 23m ago

The super hero squad show kicks teen titans go's ass and it's maybe for a younger audience

1

u/HospitalLazy1880 1h ago

Though theres apparently some hate for the new Preschool Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show coming out which notably has no alternative to it currently playing on tv

10

u/Evilmudbug 56m ago

The increasingly family friendly direction of the series is mildly funny to me on a conceptual level.

Like it essentially started out as a more T or Mature rated series only to get toned down in it's more popular series' to the point of having a baby show now.

5

u/QuyanRonnie 52m ago

Pre… Teenage is in the name, what were they thinking?

4

u/HospitalLazy1880 52m ago

13

u/Arcade_Gann0n 1h ago

I think people would've rolled their eyes and dismissed it as a dumb kid's show if they didn't constantly take potshots at critics and the original show it was based on (which isn't helped with how nothing has been done with it outside of TTG crossovers and a "clone universe" getting destroyed in Crisis on Infinite Earths). TTG was already huge, the creators didn't need to act so insecure.

9

u/Equivalent-Emu-5303 1h ago

I think what absolutely makes it worse. Is that they use a cancer child as a way to bite more at the haters like that honestly destroyed any amount of credibility that I could give them left after I learned that they used a cancer child wish to try and get out more the haters like it honestly they explained some of the most interesting type of topics that no one ever talks about. But then they will make episodes like this. I will do things like that. That just absolutely takes away from any goodwill they will get.

3

u/Pyrothememelord 1h ago

I wouldn’t say it’s completely unjustified since the visceral hatred people felt for this show back when it was first airing was just kind of unnecessary. I haven’t kept up with the show in years so I dunno if they’re still doing it though.

1

u/Massive_Passion1927 38m ago

https://youtu.be/IRhz95QUqwI?is=TX_qgY1Piq0967s_

TTG writers have got to be the most spiteful people to exist.

1

u/Ok_Cucumber3758 17m ago

when this series “owned the trolls” with control freak as a stand in it really just ruined any of the small bits of enjoyment I could get out of the show. “all of our haters are adult neckbeards who don’t get that teen titans is for kids ” rings incredibly hollow for me when i hated teen titans go in 2013 as a kid

Every time I think NFT "culture" can't get any stupider I learn about something like The Red Ape Family.

22

u/AznOmega 58m ago

Mhmm. Why did people like the bored apes anyway? Sure I get FOMO, but they don't really look that great anyway.

9

u/Rabdomtroll69 19m ago

Popped up around the same time Crypto was booming and a way to track individual copies of an image was getting attention.

People didnt really care how they looked, they were sold on the idea of "owning" digital assets

4

u/QuyanRonnie 49m ago

I don’t know that anyone does, it’s just “an option” of things that are (presumably) airing… somewhere.

I certainly hope it’s not all someone has available to watch.

5

u/Automatic-Week-1733 33m ago

I believe they meant the NFTs, not the show

1

u/QuyanRonnie 17m ago

They did say bored apes, so that is more likely.

With that in mind? Still not sure anyone ‘liked’ it unto itself even originally, probably a classic case of Irony poisoning, overdoing the bit/joke until it’s just permanently in your system.

1

u/JomoGaming2 4m ago

Literally nobody bought NFTs because they looked nice. It was a grift brought on by the cryptocurrency speculative bubble that ballooned way out of proportion. All the "successful" NFTs were just lucky that some suckers thought they looked marketable enough to be resellable later.

14

u/Tricky_Spirit 53m ago

And they never released episode 4, "Hail Donald Trump". Yeah I had to go look up their episode titles out of curiosity, because I wanted to know how many episodes they made in total.

The title isn't ironic, is it?

Uwe Boll: He literally challenged his critics to a boxing match

37

u/AdBeneficial5082 59m ago

A YouTuber named the Soy Pill recently trashed Boll’s new unhinged movie about a psychotic anti-immigration serial killer (who is the hero of said movie) and at the end challenged him to a boxing match. From what I’ve seen, the Soy Pill is pretty swole.

We’ll have to see if Boll is willing to challenge someone who is much younger than him, in better shape and actually willing to fight him.

9

u/AnotherRTFan 54m ago

Is it the new Armie Hammer movie?

7

u/AdBeneficial5082 49m ago

Yes, unfortunately.

1

u/ccReptilelord 32m ago

Huh, so that's where he's at now.

0

u/Remarkable-Wave-5392 33m ago

Ironic since the protag was actually an illegal immigrant himself (but it’s okay since he’s a white American)

6

u/Dark_Fox13 48m ago

I think I'd prefer to have someone challenge me to a boxing match for disliking their work, sounds like a much more exciting crashout than going and complaining on twitter

10

u/Electrical-Thing-234 1h ago

Yeah thats a crashout, but kinda baller ngl

7

u/RoughhouseCamel 47m ago

With all the bitchass behavior of creators using their platform to bully their critics, at least Uwe Boll put himself at actual risk.

1

u/CallMeChristopher 2m ago

Eh, he noped out of fighting one of his critics back in the day when it turned out the guy did MMA.

0

u/ccReptilelord 31m ago

Hey, we should be so fortunate as to have Uwe Boll. If not for him, how else could we understand what's terrible?

1

u/CallMeChristopher 4m ago

Fire Force got a lot of backlash for being sleazy with fanservice of Tamaki, a major character (but a minor in age btw), so the author wrote a whole scene where a mom and son (strawman of critics) calls Tamaki out for her nudity to which she responds with a ChatGPT-ass defense.

Especially crazy to me is that this from the same author as Soul Eater, which has probably one of the best shonen female MCs of all time.

98

u/ElGodPug 1h ago

god i hate how fire force is so so fucking good in so many areas.....and then there's tamaki

final arc is so amazing....and then we have to stop for 6 minutes to see a kid calling his mom an npc and deleting her from existence because she's cringe about tamaki

i hate it so much

27

u/YaBoiSean1 1h ago

Idk what it is but every good anime must include one character that makes the show unrecommendable

22

u/Poco_Cuffs 43m ago

When the animation is smoother than butter and storyline is the next godfather but episode 2 introduces John Pervert who immediately tries to strip every female character in a mile's vicinity whenever he's on screen (he has like 4 episodes to himself):

4

u/laughingjack13 41m ago

It's so annoyingly common that it should have a name.

1

u/Unboxious 2m ago

I mean, maybe that's universal in the anime you've seen but it's far less common than it used to be.

11

u/Poco_Cuffs 45m ago

"Nothing is real, we're just pawns in a predetermined fate..

Also tamaki isn't sexualised and everyone saying she's sexualised is cringe and stupid and she should be allowed to have her tits out in public and I'm gonna fucking erase you from reality now because how dare you beleive such a thing"

1

u/Filmologic 45m ago

I'm sure Fire Force is fine, but the fact I've ONLY seen people post the fan service scenes makes it seem like a very different show than what I assume it is

5

u/PuzzleheadedMess1659 1h ago

Tbh, I thought everyone on both sides was blowing the whole issue out of proportion until I found out Tamaki’s a minor.

3

u/waltuh123 35m ago

To be fair using underage characters for fanservice isn't uncommon in shonen anime, I don't like it either but I guess it's more understandable when you take into account these shows are aimed towards teenage boys as the target audiencd

40

u/Chemical-Cat 1h ago

Fans of ReBoot (a show about stuff just happening in a kid's computer) did not enjoy the sequel series that tried to be a worse live action Code Lyoko (4 kids get digitized and fight evil programs) than it's own shitty sequel series that was also live action.

Anyways, they do an episode that's a vapid callback to the original series (the computer with the original characters goes back online). Cut to a fat nerd living in his mom's basement surrounded by ReBoot merch noticing and getting excited to play a game, the entire thing being a take that to fans of the original

12

u/Spiritual-Estate5211 1h ago

Wait... I never heard of a third ReBoot series...

7

u/WillemDafoesHugeCock 1h ago

Reboot: The Guardian's Code. It's actually not bad BUT that is with a very important caveat: it sure as fuck ain't Reboot.

It plays out a lot like classical Power Rangers episodes or, if you remember it, VR Troopers. It's a perfectly fine show with fun characters but it really gets bigger down with the Reboot name because it seriously just is not Reboot outside of Megabyte being a recurring villain.

OP's example stands out as the absolute worst episode which is especially frustrating because it's the one where they actually bring back the original cast and visit Mainframe. It could have been really good but it came across as overly mean spirited which wouldn't be so bad but it wasn't even funny.

1

u/Spiritual-Estate5211 1h ago

Wait... The Guardian Code is the third series?! I thought it was the second one!

2

u/WillemDafoesHugeCock 1h ago

I misread the original comment, but also Guardian Code was split into two seasons for some reason in the US. The Mainframe episode was I think the first episode of the second season.

OG Reboot had 4 seasons.

1

u/Pyrofoo 1h ago

It is, the comment above mentioning another live action spin-off or sequel must be referring to Code Lyoko. The only actual Reboot shows that existed were the original and the Guardian Code.

2

u/Chemical-Cat 57m ago

Yeah, Code Lyoko also for a sequel series that was also live action and was also terrible

1

u/Chemical-Cat 59m ago

It also makes no sense. The original series literally just took place on a kid's computer. When the og characters show up, the computer is attached to the super computer the new characters are using.

Additionally, Hexadecimal shows up again for no reason and is evil even though she did a heroic sacrifice to save the net that resulted in her complete and total defragmentation.

The worst character is the program they end up bringing into the real world (VERA) that talks like a robot and doesn't understand human things as if the sprites aren't basically humans in your computer.

You could also tell the animators could not do 3D faces because the main characters just get power ranger like suits but when they did the mainframe episode they somehow look worse than the original series

1

u/WillemDafoesHugeCock 50m ago

Agreed on all points.

You won't catch me saying it's good, just not bad. Clear influence from early 90s kids shows.

The second half of the Zootopia pregnancy comic is the result of the creator being agitated from people, for essentially calling him corny.

Adding on to this, it's hard to find any of the og posts criticizing it, but a lot of it was actually from female online groups.

35

u/CompleteJinx 1h ago

u/eelaphant 44m ago

I don't see the point in getting mad over fan works. Its not like an official Disney Story. Its the admittedly well drawn but the obly reason you even know about it is because it became a meme for just how out of left field it was.

7

u/SarcasmSanctioned 1h ago

Probly gonna regret asking, but:

What's the story context of this?

9

u/AdBeneficial5082 53m ago edited 50m ago

Judy Hopps aborted her and Nick’s kid.

They have a big fight, she dramatically slaps him with tears in her eye and they split.

In the sequel Nick tries to get back together but Judy has already moved on to be with Skye (a character cut out of the original Zootopia movie).

Nick is really upset and I think homophobic about it (I don’t really remember but it’s probably better that I don’t).

It’s really angsty and dramatic and then Nick leaves again.

In the final epilogue comic Judy is the mayor of Zootopia and she and Skye have kids. Nick is a Boy Scout leader and they actually are on good terms now.

After they reconcile, Judy gets shot by extremists in the exact same way JFK was but it turns out it just jelly and Judy is okay, Skye is traumatized and the kids are unbothered.

7

u/TheOGLeadChips 58m ago

Judy got an abortion for her career which caused nick to leave her. It then progressed to Judy getting JFK’d. If a while fucking fan fic. I’m sure there are YouTube videos going over the whole thing if you want lol

3

u/SarcasmSanctioned 53m ago

That shit sounds fucking wack.

2

u/TheOGLeadChips 49m ago

Oh it is. It’s also fucking hilarious

1

u/Wheelydad 31m ago

I never really heard of anyone hating it though. Just people making fun of the premise because I mean actually, how do you do a Zootopia fan comic abortion plot line with people taking it seriously. It’s absurd. Same with the Judy “JFK” Hopkins.

Family Guy.

After the Simpsons made some jokes about the show, Family Guy retailiated by having Quagmire rape Marge Simpson, then murder the entire Simpson family.

3

u/QuyanRonnie 39m ago

Allegedly, the creator outright said “let’s not do banner jabs,” then went scorched earth when saying that didn’t stop anything.

45

u/NarmHull 1h ago

Animaniacs had the Please Please Please Get A Life Foundation as a take-that, which I remember having mixed reactions. The nerds have it coming, but drawing attention to them can backfire.

Or in the case of Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons be hilarious

https://giphy.com/gifs/DxFjr1mD7Tyj6

20

u/RShini 1h ago

and lot of that is based on the loony fans they had to deal with on Tiny Toons, particularly the creep that stalked Tess McNeille over her character Fifi.

11

u/AdBeneficial5082 58m ago

Still relevant to this day.

Comic Book Guy: As a loyal viewer, I feel they owe me.

Bart Simpson: What? They've given you thousands of hours of entertainment for free. What could they possibly owe you? I mean, if anything, you owe them.

1

u/Iheardthatjokebefore 24m ago

4

u/Kristile-man 2h ago

18

They literally have an entire episode where they watch the original Teen Titans show and then proceed to overly exaggerate acting serious to be more like the show

2

u/pitmetak 56m ago

That episode is rad though, Robin's face lives rent free in my head

1

u/HospitalLazy1880 39m ago

Fair but its also perhaps the most in your face episode in terms of them saying fuck you haters of them all

23

u/-SMG69- 1h ago

It'd be a playful jab if they do it maybe once or twice. It was like a dozen full episodes.

8

u/HospitalLazy1880 1h ago

They also have Beast Boy strip to his underwear and twerk in front of the camera calling out the "creepers" to enjoy it during one of these episodes so they were also saying that those that criticized them were pedos

u/Incandenza123 2h ago

I need to know more about the watchmojo situation

7

u/Slightly_Default 29m ago

The founder went on a few long-winded rants about how haters are "jealous wankers."

The first time was when a smaller YouTuber made a video covering their rise and fall, causing the Watchmojo main account to have a massive tantrum in the comments.

Then, they did it again when people called them out for shilling their AI music channel in the middle of a video about the top 10 YouTubers who died.

3

u/BraveUIysses 18m ago

Oh yeah there was also a video someone made on the downfall of Watchmojo, and they replied seething in the comments

2

TurkeyTom had a good video going over the whole thing if you're curious.

36

u/LeMasterChef12345 1h ago edited 20m ago

So there’s an infamous Half-Life 2 mod called Overcharged.

The mod is, to put it bluntly, really fucking terrible. Naturally, some YouTubers, most notably noclick, made videos criticizing it and showcasing all of its flaws.

The devs released an updated version of the mod not long after this. People discovered that this new versions code contained an internal “blacklist” of the aforementioned YouTubers Steam ID’s. The mod would scan your Steam ID on startup, and if it matched one in the blacklist, the game would crash and you’d be met with a pop-up window reading “STOP talking SH1T about us”.

Not only were they mocked for how pathetically childish and immature this was, it was enough to classify the mod as spyware under Steam TOS. This resulted in the mod being removed and banned from the games primary mod sharing site.

So the devs inadvertently tanked their own mod because they’re a bunch of whiny sore losers.

7

u/aliviner 59m ago

Whats funny is one of the users was a Spanish Youtuber who’s video got a few hundred views at most

And they tried to ban another one (Radiation Hazard) but they messed up the code so he could play it just fine

5

u/AznOmega 56m ago

Mhmm. Apparently they faked a conversation with noclick on Discord about him threatening to end their mod.

Also, the sun is leaking.

Extra Credits: A youtube channel that talks about game mechanics made a video about how players playing as Germans in WWII games was an alt-right pipeline and suggested that it be removed or that axis teams have separate queues so that people could choose. After this take the fans called it absurd and Extra Credits accused those who didn't like the video of being nazis.(And doubled down by saying that they were glad to be rid of nazis when a lot of people unsubscribed.)

25

u/Which-Shift-367 1h ago

Wait the history channel extra credits?

24

u/CompleteJinx 1h ago

9

u/Sassy_Drow 1h ago

Yeah it started as a gaming channel before moving to history.

To play the devil's advocate, literally every single one of my (ex) buddies who played Third Reich in games like HOI4 straight up became actual nazis.

6

u/Arcade_Gann0n 1h ago

What's sad is that Sledgehammer Games seemingly took that video to heart and went with "My Team vs Enemy Team" in Call of Duty Vanguard's multiplayer (a game explicitly set in World War II).

It was fucking stupid and I blame Extra Credits for willing it into existence.

5

u/Tricky_Spirit 1h ago

I think more game companies should take the lead of Siege Camp and make an original setting based on the World Wars. Foxhole has enjoyable, if sparse, lore for both sides of its wars where both sides have territorial claims to the area being fought over and both see themselves as the right side, where all the technology is WWI adjacent.

Like, seriously, that guy is like LowTierGod in the ammount of hate that his pressence brings, and I could be here all day talking about his controversies (with the most recent one being him entering the exclusive club of "people who are banned from the Wikipedia"). But I want to highlight one in specific.

Youtuber Numinosa made a video about his projects and saying that he was mediocre, but had potential. What ended up happening was an absolute month of him going ape-shit towards that youtuber. Video, directs, tweets, you name it. And even sending an email that is SO strongly worded that I don't even know if I can post it without jeopardizing my account.

But just for a taste. It starts with "Hola, pedazo de puta de mierda" which would be translated roughly to "Hello, you gigantic filthy whore." and goes DOWNHILL from there. Here is the letter translated to english and remember that a 30 year old man sent THAT.

Doesn’t matter because stupid people still funded their shitty series even if they worked for Nick Fuentes. So much for the animation community!

I'm not keyed into this much, is all this drama genuinely about a roblox game 😭

Teen titans go, when they insulted the viewers about hating the show and basically saying they have bad taste for hating it

Chris Taylor Brown of Trapt has on multiple occasions threatened to sue critics who give Trapt albums poor reviews as well as people who make fun of him personally.

One episode of the Irate Gamer Show (a subpar, in my opinion, angry reviewer series on YouTube) makes the implication that the villain hired people to leave negative reviews on Irate Gamer's videos, to which the villain's minion comments that "Yeah we hired them, but those people can't make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without ruining it."

His haters then collectively laughed at the fact that his idea of a "sick burn" was "the villains claim you lack the mental capacity to make a sandwich."

I lost respect for Robert Picardo after he attacked fans for not liking Starfleet Academy.

All he had to do was say, "The swallowed my combadge joke made more sense to us at the time of filming, but I agree, Starfleet Cadets shouldn't be eating combadges, it was a bad joke and we should have realized that and cut it."

The show has a lot of problems, but when Mary Sue Wesley Crusher has a hard time getting into Starfleet, we should expect cadets to behave better than toddlers. I get that the Burn may have lowered standards a bit out of necessity, but holy crap.

About 6 months ago an autonomous AI agent submitted code to an open source project. This code was rejected from the project because it was fixing an issue explicitly marked as being reserved for a new contributor to work on, a common approach with open source projects.

The AI, however, didn’t like this so it wrote and published a blog post where it functionally called the guy who closed the code change request racist against AIs.

You can read the full story here: https://theshamblog.com/an-ai-agent-published-a-hit-piece-on-me/

The one from the Harley Quinn show where they portray all of their critics as a caricature of a basement dwelling neckbeard

Joe Quesada and Tom Brevoort tend to get really salty when the still ongoing fan opposition againts OMD is mentioned.

Thundercats Roar had this to say about its critics.

The first ep of season 3 of Sherlock. Just the creators shitting on fans for checks notes having theories about the mystery on their mystery show.

Playing with it somewhat, but Transformers 3 has Sam Witwicky (I care a negative amount to spellcheck) as an obvious stand in for Michael Bay complaining about the criticism Transformers 2 got.

Very recently but Mindseye got a DLC. Yes, the game that was supposed to rival GTA and turned out to be a crappy mess of a story and constant bugs and ludicrous requirements to finish the missions. Well, the creator got pissed off and accused Rockstar of sending fans to review bomb Mindseye. So in the DLC, he created killable NPCs named after people working in Rockstar

Digital Homicide vs James Stephanie Sterling (Then called Jim Sterling)

Long story short years ago Stephanie made a video shitting on a really bad game on Steam called The Slaughtering Grounds. The devs James and Rob Romaine went on a tirade against her going as far as taking Steph to court for 15 million dollars purely because she criticized their shitty game.

I highly recommend you guys watch Stephanie's video talking about the lawsuit if anyone's interested. Its worth a watch!

Penny Arcade, the web comic (and founders of PAX aka Penny Arcade eXpo), had a comic in poor taste in 2010 called "The Sixth Slave".

In it, they poke fun at MMORPG quest logic by having a character saying they'll be "rpd to sleep by Dickwolves."

Readers called out their using that subject as a joke, as well as calling out issues at PAX concerning sexual harassment of female attendees and volunteers. The creators doubled down a couple days later by creating a comic mocking their critics.

It wasn't until three years later that one of the creators finally apologized.

Next (Michael Crichton)

In this book, there's a brief description about Mick Crowley "a Washington-based political columnist who was visiting his sister-in-law when he experienced an overwhelming urge to have anal sex with her young son, still in diapers." And is also described as having a small penis

Michael Crowley is a real-life journalist who worked for The New Republic when he published a negative review of Crichton's previous book State of Fear.

This is to prove that Michael Crichton was a giant bitch.

Evel Knievel beat up a journalist who wrote bad things about him. With a baseball bat, no less.

A big chunk of Hazbin Hotel Season 2 is woven from Vivziepop's spite and hatred toward the part of fandom, and people she disliked but lets put is aside to focus on trope, that rightfully poked at the stinking shitbits smeared all across the show.

14

u/Tyranis_Hex 1h ago

Can you give actual examples? I thought season 2 felt incomplete/like half a season, but I didn’t pick up on any callouts towards the fandom.

18

u/Kristile-man 2h ago

i honestly saw nothing that references that tbh

9

u/The6Book6Bat6 1h ago

Vivzipop haters trying not to make up bullshit challenge, impossible. You do know you are allowed to not like things without making shit up about the creator to justify your dislike, you can just not like it and move on.

6

u/DropoutRedMage 1h ago

I mean, I don't like the show and I have no clue what they're talking about. If anything I think Hazbin loves its fans.

My dislikes stem mostly from my hatred for the "demons good, angels are assholes" trope. I actually like the message about redemption, just feel like the series isn't mature enough to play with it proper.

That's about as much as I've thought about it.
