❓Question Down again ?
Is anyone else having trouble using the service just now ? Status page says everything is online and working but I can't get anything to load
39
u/je1992 Jun 12 '26
This is very pathetic. Goal of these services is uptime. This guy is fumbling the RD migration with all this poor platform management
44
u/makegifsnotjifs Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
Yeah it's down again
Edit: and we're back
15
u/Heras22 Jun 12 '26
Shock. 4th time in as many weeks, awful service. Glad I only Paid one month
10
u/glizzygobbler247 Jun 12 '26
Remember the guy who got banned bc he joked about downtime and a power tripping admin got butthurt
5
u/21cabbag3 Jun 13 '26
They took that admins duties and power away and restored that customers account tho
6
u/4me2TrollU Jun 13 '26
Yup. It doesn’t take away from a butthurt cofounder doing this because somebody hurt his feelings.
If you saw the exchange it was ridiculous, the guy had a valid point and the admin was just abusing his power. Doesn’t matter now, he got put in his place.
4
u/glizzygobbler247 Jun 13 '26
Only when it blew up on reddit, until that they tried to defend it and blocked the user from support, also Mike's removal is only temporary

They should not allow multiple ip. Sure there is a lot of abuse with that
4
u/blobcity44 Jun 12 '26
Yep, it’s useful for apps that allow multiple profiles but people giving their API to mates is just ridiculous, it’s £2.20 for fuck sake
2
u/Wrong-Contest-9617 Jun 12 '26
Premiumize is the better option now
2
u/blobcity44 Jun 12 '26
Yep but it’s steep to run as a backup, realistically need to wait for Black Friday to get like 60% off
1
u/Wrong-Contest-9617 Jun 12 '26
Not backup just cancel tb and get it instead if you buy 1 year upfront it is like 6$ per month not that expensive
1
1
u/YellowMerigold Jun 12 '26
"Should have" u fuckin donkey
-6
u/blobcity44 Jun 12 '26
Corrected my grammar I do apologise. Hope that has made your Friday night you fucking weasel.
12
u/HeyItsRed Jun 12 '26
Yeah I went to their website to check the status and it was down too 😂
3
u/CrabbitJambo Jun 12 '26
Website working fine for me. Came here to check. This is the first time I’ve had an issue in the 2 months I’ve been using it.
1
u/crypticc1 Jun 13 '26
Website was okay but, and in don't know if I did something wrong, but the API key was all xxxxx's even after clicking on the blurred text
1
u/HeyItsRed Jun 13 '26
I’ve seen where it has down previously, but I’ve been lucky that I am out doing other stuff when that happens. So I’ve missed almost all of the downtimes. This time I wasn’t even watching TV, my wife was. I’m the resident IT person, though, so here I am.
26
u/iMeteor Jun 12 '26
God damn it.. I don't usually comment on posts like this, but it really started to get on my nerves, this service is unreliable as f***. As other mentioned, it goes down very often. Unfortunately it's the best alternative to rd out there 😭
1
u/PtichFirich Jun 13 '26
It’s what happens when the other, the mpst popular service goes un-usable. There was a stampede of new active users. Of course there were going to be consequences.
Let’s see how they were going to play out.
2
u/ExManUtdFan Jun 12 '26
Alldeb is probably the best alternative at the moment. They're also based in France though so I don't know how long that will last.
3
u/iMeteor Jun 12 '26
might try it as well.. but yeah, since they are based in France, we'll see 🙈
2
u/Lumentin Jun 12 '26
I came to the conclusion "just use it while it lasts. If they close in 6 months, I would have enjoyed it until then, and it still will be time to jump to TB and complain it doesn't work".
1
u/Fun_Living9432 Jun 13 '26
AD sucks ass. And their servers aren't any better if you want to complain this much. I literally had my account deleted and refunded because they had too many people joining. Never bothered with them ever again.
1
u/ExManUtdFan Jun 13 '26
They did what Torbox should have done. Too many people join at once and you get downtime because their infrastructure keeps getting overloaded at busy times, as evidenced right now with Torbox and their service issues.
0
u/Fun_Living9432 Jun 13 '26
Tbh I genuinely believe people aren't even attempting any type of troubleshooting. Ive hardly experienced any issues. If any at all
1
u/iMeteor Jun 13 '26
Troubleshooting.. dude you are delusional. Every time something happens, i go straight to status.torbox.app.
When the API is down, for example, tell me the troubleshooting steps.. please enlight me 😅
0
u/Fun_Living9432 Jun 13 '26
Wrong. Its 100% reliable. Ive never had a single issue outside of that 1 day they got Ddos attacked. And haven't experienced anything since. Its 100% on you why issues are happening
1
u/iMeteor Jun 13 '26
I work at engineering.. specifically services and backend. We also had issues like this at the company.. but guess what, we found the root cause and fixed them. That was our top priority.
When some part of the service is down.. how the hell is that on me or any other person here 🤣

u/3holepunchmedia Jun 12 '26
Observed error responses
Degraded
Created Jun 12, 2026 at 3:32pm CST
We're seeing higher than normal rates of errors returned by the API and the team is investigating.

Sounds like the old success disaster. Maybe they need to increase capacity to scale with a sudden surge in new customers.

Damn just finished watching the football and I was hoping to catch an episode of Spider Noire before the next match :(
2
2
u/YodasGoldfish Jun 12 '26
Same here 😂 but in my case an episode of Clarkson's Farm .
I did wonder if tons of people switching over after the football had maybe caused an issue?
1
u/Obviously-troll Jun 17 '26
How are you guys watching the live matches though? And paid pirated service or something that has been working out well ? Appreciate the help.
1
u/bad_piggie Jun 17 '26
There's numerous ways to watch the games. I don't know if naming the different apps are against the rules here but I use SportzX, which is free, as my backup and my main way of watching is using the paid Tivimate app + an iptv subscription. Check G2G for reliable iptv providers if you do decide to go with Tivimate.
2
u/Obviously-troll Jun 17 '26
Yeah I am using random 3rd party tools. I think IPTV subscription is what I am leaning towards. Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into G2G

What should they have done? Just give up TV since RD went down just so they wouldn't upset you? Get a clue.

u/enaty Jun 12 '26
It's like a weekly occurrence now. It's getting old

Feck off back to RD then and the people that were here first can get their debrid back. Cheers

1
u/IOSGodzyzz Jun 12 '26
Same here with premiumizs, really need a backup with TB sadly
1
u/OpenthedoorSthlm Jun 12 '26
Would you say premiumize is better? Or just good for backup?
2
u/IcyMighty Jun 12 '26
Better. I made the switch and haven’t looked back. TB is my backup now. With that being said, it has a lower fair usage limit, so if you’re looking to stream huge remuxes, it may not be for you. However, it’s very stable. Alternatively, you could use it as a backup to TB.

Is All Debrid reliable for you?
1
u/kartana Jun 13 '26
It's hit or miss. Sometimes it takes a long time for streams to start or it buffers a lot. (no issues with Torrentbox or RD at those times).
6
u/No_Internal523 Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
Signing up for Premiumize as I read this thread. I'm gonna try a month first. $10 to try it... if I don't have any problems for the month, $8/month for the yearly deal is just fine by me. I don't wanna keep dealing with this. For those of you defending the service saying "it's just $3 a month." Yeah... that's why I'm spending $10 for a better service.
Edit: Using Premiumize. Everything's working.
3
u/IcyMighty Jun 12 '26
I switched after the last outage and haven’t looked back. TB is my backup now. I haven’t had a single issue with PM.
1
u/ImGivingUpOnLife Jun 12 '26
I can't figure out PM. Shows seem like they're about to boot up and then nothing happens.
1
1
u/doinks4life Jun 13 '26
Can I insert Torrent links and download them as normal files like RD with this?
5
6
u/stehilton94 Jun 12 '26
Ive paid for a month and used about 3 days so far with the amount of downtime, yeah its cheap, cool, but my time is worth more to me than the amount I paid for the service
7
u/Substantial_Swan_687 Jun 12 '26
Hate that it's down but their website shows it's operational
4
u/Medium_Word_696 Jun 12 '26
Actually it says "We're seeing higher than normal rates of errors returned by the API and the team is investigating."
1
u/makegifsnotjifs Jun 12 '26
There's usually a good 10-20 minute delay between the start of service interruption and seeing that reflected on the site.
1
u/ganznetteigentlich Jun 12 '26
It's been that way so often, I wish they would implement a proper status page. it sure would be worth it currently
2
u/rewind1g Jun 12 '26
I didn't renew my RD sub because I wanted to try TB and it looks like I'm going back to RD, a paid service should not have this many outages. Good thing I only subbed for a month.

u/Throwrelay13 Jun 12 '26
I find this odd because this is the first downtime I've experienced with TB. Had it almost a year. RD was down quite often before I switched.
2
2
u/romariogardner Jun 12 '26
Yes unfortunately. Was just getting to the juicy part in Chernobyl. I guess that's my sign to take a nap.
2
u/Present_Jicama_1219 Jun 12 '26
everyone that switched to tb been dealing with downtime...meanwhile RD working great... oops
1
u/trbcop Jun 14 '26
Same my RD working great. I got TB trial to see if it's worth me buying it.
I'm a new user with less than 24hr sign up and already having issues 🤦. That's not a problem as I understand these things happen.
But reading the comments and this is a weekly occurrence is making me consider to avoid this like the Plaque.
Maybe in another year or two I'll check back and see if things have improved

Yep. It's getting to the point now where it may be time to ditch Torbox and switch to the one beginning with All or the one beginning with Prem. Torbox isn't worth the hassle.

Ultra buffer mode is active I half to move away from Torbox
1
u/Pizza-Pirate-6829 Jun 13 '26
Same here it’s unwatchable because of constant buffering
1
u/Emergency-River-7696 Jun 13 '26
I switched off of torrentio and used aiostreams and it works better less buffering

Nothing is working. Can't get downloads or streaming to work. Happens way too often. It sucks.
1
1
u/rob93ification Jun 13 '26
Yeah, I’ve been seeing elevated API error rates again as well.
One thing that sometimes helps is running the TorBox speed test and checking which CDN performs best from your location. In my experience, if the nearest CDN is having issues, switching to HARE or ERTH can occasionally improve things. My understanding is that these are third-party CDNs, and depending on routing and ISP conditions, they may experience less congestion than the default/closest option.
Also, if you’re using an Android TV device, keep in mind that many Android TV apps and devices are effectively limited by single-threaded downloads. Because of that, I usually pay more attention to the non-multithreaded speed test results rather than the multithreaded ones, since they’re often a better indicator of the real-world streaming performance you’ll get.
That said, if the API itself is having problems, CDN changes may only partially help until the underlying issue is resolved.

I'm now taking bets for how long you think it will take for the next time for it to go down.
1
u/Spartacus-85 Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26
Same here. It went down last night, and even though the status page currently claims everything is fixed and 'operational', I still can't get almost anything to stream or load.
Now that they are growing and pulling in so many new users—especially with people migrating due to RD's recent filters—they seriously need to invest more into their infrastructure. If they step up and fix these stability issues, they have everything it takes to be number one. But if they keep going down like this, they’ll eventually bleed users and die out.

u/MrMFDoom_TheVillian Jun 13 '26
Down for me right now get error message with API CODE even when I cut and paste it or put it in manually! Long!
1
u/Buzzed1111 Jun 14 '26
Go to settings on Torbox change your cdn settings from auto to the server closest to you for example for me Central United States. Clears it up and speeds it up.
1
u/trbcop Jun 14 '26 edited Jun 14 '26
I'm having issues with it today. Scraping fine but not loading any links.
I checked with the boys which should stream.
My real debrid is working.
I got the free trial period to see if it's worth switching from RD. The comment section leaves a bad taste in my mouth about the switch. Issues on a weekly basis who cbf 🤦
1
u/Extension_Cycle_985 Jun 14 '26
I was earlier using Real Debrid, but since it had filtering issues, it showed fewer links. So I shifted to TorBox, and it is down whenever I need to watch. Can anyone please suggest the best service? I am very new and would appreciate your help.

Literally just signed up and got it added to my stremio and now it’s down…. Seems like a regular occurrence based on the comments. Anyone know any RD alternatives that actually work??
1
u/Rupjoy19 Jun 12 '26
premiumize, bit on the expensive side I think.
1
u/eti_t Jun 12 '26
10 euros a month.. still cheaper than a Netflix subscription lol. I just got my torbox subscription today so they’re got 30 days to sort it out or I’m jumping ship.
1
u/Rupjoy19 Jun 12 '26
you'll barely get a week of watchtime with all this downs, it's pretty much everyday
2
1
u/4me2TrollU Jun 12 '26
Nah bro. I’ve had this less than a month and it’s been down twice already.
I had RD for years. And it’s only went down twice for me.
1
u/HillanatorOfState Jun 12 '26
Same, first week...
2
u/4me2TrollU Jun 12 '26

True. I'm going to try premiumize and see
1
u/IcyMighty Jun 12 '26
I switched after the last outage and haven’t looked back. TB is my backup now. I haven’t had a single issue with PM.
1
u/crypticc1 Jun 12 '26
Down here. First spotted with next stream not working. What's odd is that site logs in but won't let me get a new API token either.
Have I just been had with an annual subscription?
1
u/blobcity44 Jun 12 '26
You should of read the room before buying an annual subscription, all the real debrid twats were obviously going to overload them and they would never limit the amount of people they are taking on
1
u/year3000stankonia Jun 12 '26
I was thinking about getting an annual sub but now im debating.
Anyone recommend a decent priced backup?
-1
u/throwaway4today95477 Jun 13 '26
The tantrum some of you babies are throwing over a few hour outage is hilarious. It's a $3 service with 98% uptime. Insane expectations.
1
u/thyttel Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26
Oh shut the fuck up you moron. Always some prick like you in a thread pointing stupid stuff out. They are paying for a service, period. Service is constantly down then price really does not matter. Then $3 or $10 is irrelevant because they are getting NOTHING for their money if service is down all the time. Your not paying $3 or $10 to have a service working if your lucky!
0
u/throwaway4today95477 Jun 13 '26
98% uptime. It's right on their status page every time theres an incident. Why lie?
Whiny babies like you expect 100% uptime for $3. LMAO. Just leave and spare everyone the whining.
Turn off My Little Ponies and touch grass, then maybe minor interruptions bother you so much.
1
0
u/je1992 Jun 13 '26
hasnt been anywhere near 98% since the rd migration.

u/Lost-Ear9642 Jun 12 '26
Alright it’s time to start granting extra days with these recent outages
