I own two BE65 Deco's. One is connected to the router upstairs, the other is downstairs in the Kitchen. No issues inside, and excellent up to around halfway up my garden. However, the top half of my garden is more secluded, as it's where outdoor seating is, and a handful of Wi-Fi devices, such as smart lights and a security camera. Wi-Fi in the top half of the garden is spotty, and devices often keep disconnecting from the network. If I stand in the right place, and hold my phone out/up, pointing towards where the Wi-Fi is coming from, I can get lucky and get 800Mbps in a speed test.

Anyway, to solve the spotty Wi-Fi and disconnections of outdoor devices, I bought a Deco BE25-Outdoor unit.

Before I ordered it, I decided to unplug my kitchen BE65, and set it up in the place where the outdoor unit would go, just to see how the performance was.

I positioned it just before the halfway point of my garden. I stood adjacent to it on the path and did a speed test on my phone. I managed to get my full speed of 945Mbps down. I then went to the top of the garden; signal was great, and stable, and a speed test gave around 700Mbps.

BE25 outdoor unit arrived, set it all up, and placed it where I tested the BE65 yesterday. I did a speed test whilst stood adjacent to it, just like yesterday. All I got was 200Mbps.

The Deco app says the outdoor unit has medium signal to the bedroom unit.

Moved to the top half of my garden, signal on my phone is just as poor as it is without the BE25 running, and speeds are less than 100Mbps.

How can it make everything worse? A BE65 in the same place had no issues.

When checking devices connected to the outdoor unit, and tapping the signal icon to see the dBz, every device says "3"

You also can't see the dBz value of the deco's connection to the main one.

The other thing; TP-Link should also not be allowed to sell it with Wi-Fi 7 plastered all over it. It's not even Wi-Fi 6E ffs

As i mentioned above, it keeps flashing blue even if i do resetting it keeps going this way, the app cant identify it

I recently setup a Be550 pro mesh system: 2 x Be550 pros and 2 re315 to cover 4800 sq ft. The be550 pros cover both upstairs and downstairs well, with the satellite Be550 pro setup asd a wired backhaul. One of the RE315 is needed in the garage, but the other RE315 I’m thinking about just removing all together as it doesn’t seem needed. I seem to recall that more extenders will hurt overall performance…..better to just leave it out of the mesh network?

I recently upgraded from a Deco mesh wi-fi 6E system to the Deco wi-fi 7 BE13000 system. This setup is fast with our new 1 gig Gateway fiber. I can download with max speeds of my fiber network. I used to maybe get 500 mbps, but now getting full bandwidth of 1gbps! Now onto the bad news, gaming and network stability have been terrible compared to the old Deco 6E mesh system. The connection has been continually dropping and always in the middle of gaming or streaming. I have been working with TP Link support and was escalated to an engineer who had me instal this new firmware. Ive been on this for a few days and still having instability issues. Time to return to Costco and rebuy to see if I got a lemon or anyone have suggestions. Ive kept my settings stock, except when support had me make changes.

Hi all (sorry for a bit of a long bit in advanced)

I'm looking to upgrade/extend my mesh from my P9's with some X55's.

Last year I switched from a copper line to 5G as I can't get full fibre so I purchased a X50-5g which is great, however I wasn't aware at the time that by placing this as my main deco I would loose EOP backhaul from my P9s.

Anyway according to AI and a bit of research I can plug a P9 directly into my X50-5g (currently the are connected wirelessly) and this will restore my my EOP backhaul, I'm just wondering if this is accurate? Hoping someone here will be able to confirm this or not, nothing like getting a human answering a question or someone who has done it.

But with that I want to upgrade/supplement my mesh with some new X55's as it would be better to get the main house on Wifi 6 consider the X50-5g has wifi 6 and P9s don't.

With that comes the silly decision I made last year to route cables through ceilings down walls and cover them all with conduit that I can't really remove without some major ballache and some paint and caulk involved.

The P9s use a Fig 8 C7 power cable and these are the cables covered up which I don't really want to remove. So my idea is to buy some power bricks for the X55s and use the existing C7 cables to save myself a lot of hassle in terms of removing conduit, painting and caulking.

I'm hoping someone can tell me the correct power and barrel size for the X55s so I can get the correct power adapter.

My idea is to have one P9 plugged directly into my X50-5g, restoring my EOP backhaul and place my other 2 P9s in each outbuilding so I can get decent wifi in them and they will be too far away from my X55s, ie the places that the wifi just won't cover.

Does this sound workable/doable or have I just decided that it will work great in my own head and in practice won't work at all? Both my outbuildings are connected to my main consumer unit with sub units (ie have there own sub board feeding back to man in unit in the house) so I assume this will work.

Just hoping for a human answer and someone who may have done similar and can confirm I'm not going mad 😂

Hi everyone, I have two TP-Link Deco X50 units and a 1000 Mbps internet connection at home. However, the Decos are capping my speed at 100 Mbps, and I haven't been able to get anything higher no matter what I try.
I've tested the Ethernet cables, and there is no issue there. The setup is also correct. When I connect directly to my main modem's Wi-Fi, I can easily get 700-800 Mbps. The problem is definitely with the Decos, but I just can't figure it out.
Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Roommate's computer required a reinstall of Windows 10, and his previous Wi-Fi dongle didn't detect the network. After installing the TX20E, he's only getting about 20 up 20 down. It's on WiFi 6 over the 5ghz band. Computer about ten feet away is getting 170 up 170 down over WiFi 5, and I'm out of ideas.

I had bought a tplink ax50 and tried to connect it but for some reason I left it in the middle of setting it up. I think that it would connect properly so I left it at a point of where I had renamed it and I putted a password

But now I want to set it back up and i really can't do anything because in order to continue on the app I need to connect to the router. I can find it Ij my settings but I don't have a clue of what the password might be. It doesn't show it on my devices or in my history. Just if it never happened. Can anyone help me?

I have a set of 3 BE11000 mesh devices, with one connected to my fiber modem and acting as a router. I have run into an issue over the past couple of months where devices on my network will randomly be unable to connect to the internet for a few minutes. They stay connected to the network itself, but all traffic out to the internet just fails/times out. Beamforming and Fast Roaming are both disabled, so I'm unsure of what could be the cause for this. It's not devices swapping between any of the TPlink devices as it affects my laptop and desktop, neither of which move about the house.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I have a TP-Link RE450 and I’m wondering if I can use it in the following way:
Instead of having the RE450 connect to my router via Wi-Fi and then repeat the signal, I would like to connect an Ethernet cable from my network/router to the RE450 and use that wired connection as the source, so the RE450 creates a Wi-Fi network from it.
Basically: Router/network → Ethernet cable → RE450 → Wi-Fi
I’m looking for this because I assume using Ethernet as the backhaul would be much more efficient than having the RE450 receive the signal wirelessly and then repeat it.
I can see that the RE450 has an Access Point mode, but I’m not completely sure if that does exactly what I want, or if the Ethernet port is only intended for connecting wired devices to the extender.

Our pg has the tp link router, model: Archer C24 AC750 Dual brand, i am facing issues with power cut so want to buy a UPS , so I want to check if using a UPS for the power plug solves this problem or the other cable connected to it also needs power , actually I don't know much about this so I'm asking.

If I'm understanding this right, I can setup a VPN server locally on a TP-Link router so that my mobile traffic will be routed through my home connection, securing mobile data in transit through my own VPN. Exit would still be my own home location, but the transit between phone and my router should be secure (when using public WiFi for example).

I fire up the WireGuard VPN server on the router, setup a peer, export the config file, install WireGuard on my phone and import the config file into it. Connect aaaaand nothing works outside of my WiFi. It will work when inside my own WiFi, but not without it.

How do I configure it to act as a server even when I'm on 5G only? It also mentions using DDNS to create "friendly" address and then doesn't mention where I'm suppose to enter that friendly address to even be used.

Endpoint is my local 192 address, is this suppose to be a publicly accessible address for it to work? Clearly there is something misconfigured that it can only communicate within my own local network and not outside of it.

What do I need to and how to configure for it to work outside of my network too? Or it's just not meant to be used that way? I'm not sure what I'm missing here...

When connected to the modem wirelessly I get around 500mb however when using the main x20 system that’s connected via their Ethernet cable it only gets around 80 mb. Don’t know much about this stuff any help would be appreciated.

Our previous system was 3x m9 plus, we updated and added 3x BE63 (Main Deco is BE63) to extend the coverage in our 10,000SqFt building. Everything worked great(Except for the networked printer; after I hardwired it, even that was fixed) for a few weeks, no issues. Lately, I have been seeing 1 or 2 of the M9+ offline via the app; the BE63 recently received a firmware update, and now there is multiple IP issues, slowed speeds, drops; you name it...... What is going on? How do I fix it?

My modem is a TpLink AX6000 used as a router for another network via Ethernet but not OneMesh Connected.

I have 3 Deco XE75 Pro (US) Ver. 3.0 models and the app is not showing the new firmware update that is listed on the website (Deco XE75 Pro(CA)_V3_1.5.0 Build 20260603). I know the firmware says CA and funny enough I am in Canada and bough them from Amazon Canada and was shipped the US version. If I update with this firmware via Web-UI will it brick my units? My Deco units are currently running firmware 1.3.1 Build 20251023 Rel 47884 according to the Deco app.

I have a WiFi network with 2 Deco BE65 11000, all this type I kept at 1.2.10 Build 20251229, they work smoothly.

In recent months, I have been receiving notifications that there were new firmware versions available for my Deco, 1.3.2 and the most recent 1.3.3.

I would like to know your experiences with this version. Should we update? Considering that there is no downgrade.

Managed to log in to tp link modem net. But now it’s saying not connect check if phone cable is properly connected. But I’m trying to connect through ont? How do I change it so that the default is trying to connect through Ont and not dsl
