Anyone looking for a riding girlfriend in the area. I am new to riding (a motorbike) but quickly learning.

first-and-half bike (first bike was a 1982 suzuki sp500 i mucked around with in college for a couple months after learning how to repair ($500 purchase))

2000 miles on it in 2 months, and successfully learned how to ride the damn thing in one of the craziest major metro areas for drivers in the world

Recently bought a 2022 Suzuki GSX250RL (the single, naked version) secondhand, it's got a cheap job aftermarket exhaust on it, the airbox is missing the inlet cover/feeder, the inlet hole appears to be cut larger, and the spark plug seems pretty dirty.

The bike seems to be running really rich, I've ordered replacement OEM parts for the airbox already, and I am replacing the spark, but does anyone have any advice on where to go from there?

Is an auto fuel controller (powertronics fuelX, etc) or a proper full exhaust a better decision? (I'm restricted in terms of budget so I can't do both, and I want to get power out of the little engine anyways) (I'm already looking for a high flow air filter as well)

Are there any other recommended mods/fixes for the little single?

Unless you want to break down out there, regular maintenance and cleanings are required. If you want to feel confident and look good while riding it, give it the attention that it needs while it's parked. That's my PSA for the day, and have a safe wonderful weekend!

3rd bike first time wiping out. Chain snapped and locked up the rear tire. Lucky I was only going around 30mph little road rash, and some sore joints but im good. And with a little work the bike will be as well.

Came in bits yesterday already got her all together. Need to figure out this clutch as it’s missing bits same with the carb and do all the cables

Valve adjestment, Carb clean, Oil change, brake fluid flush is next. Sigh... At least Ive got supervision.

So my bike came with a touring seat that ALSO wasn’t that comfy for me. Not terrible, but it looked weird and I didn’t find it the best.

I’ve also ALWAYS wanted a step up seat so I shelled out for the Lepera. We’ll see with some riding but at a quick sit so much comfier and it fits the bike SO nice.

Turns out that if you have enough Rok Straps you can fit a long weekend's worth of camping gear on the Bonnie.
