Rescue Bots is in the running for best Transformers show ever made. Rescue Bots Academy...not so much.

Sometimes I find it questionable why WFC is connected to TFP

It wasn't meant to be but Hasbro just said "nuh uh it is now"
Despite the fact that Starscream either dies or gets knocked out right before the Nemesis and the Ark get launched meaning that his presence in Prime is literally a plot hole
Or how Soundwave's vow of silence is apparently a recent thing since he was speaking perfectly fine during WFC and FOC
And the fact that there's 2 different guys named Grimlock
Or how the whole Arcee-Cliffjumper-Shockwave thing back on Cybertron doesn't make sense because FOC shows that
cliffjumper was on the arc at the time
not only did Shockwave apparently recover from Grimlock biting his arm off and throwing him off the cybertronian equivalent of a skyscraper in record time but he also had time to research space bridge technology enough to create one a thousand times smaller than his previous one and get in touch with Starscream
Not only is starscream's presence contradictory as he should be dead but also he's working with Shockwave despite his last actions were literally purposefully sabotaging his facilities and freeing his project in an attempt to gain power for himself.

Yeah, doesn’t help that like the only way you can loosely tie them to gather are books that are expensive online, and how almost none of the specific events in the game are ever mentioned

To add on to that, it’s hard for me to imagine Megatron in Prime and Megatron and in WFC/FOC as the same exact version (same goes with Starscream). Both personality wise, and the fact Prime shows Megatron using dark Energon for the first time in the series premiere arc Darkness rising, where as in Fall of Cybertron, he had been using it for a while and was even revived from the grave by it thanks to Soundwave (without just becoming a zombie like CliffJumper for whatever reason).
Now to be fair, the show does kinda imply Trypticon could the nemesis in Prime, Orion Pax was given the matrix inside the cores chamber, and the core of Cybertron had shut down also after the Energon inside it turned purple, which could have been to connect the games farther with the show, or just, some similar events happened before the show took place, which is what I lean towards..

Besides the whole Dark Energon thing i could honestly see Prime and WFC/FOC Megatron being the same one due to one simple reason: the man's a former gladiator. An all-out war is definitely going to bring him back to his old mindset.
In WFC, due to it taking place during the peak of the war, his mind is fully in gladiator mode. He doesn't want to defeat the enemy as much as he wants to OBLITERATE them, leading to him acting very much like an insane lunatic because, like it or not, that is the type of person suited to the Gladitorial Pits of Kaon
By FOC, the war is nearing it's end and you can see Megatron slowly starting to calm down. Obviously he's still got that berserker rage hidden underneath the surface (as seen during his first in-game appearance not counting the prologue where he shoots starscream in the face as soon as he starts boasting) but unless he's in direct combat, he's putting on a mask of a cold, calculated leader (most exemplified in how he starts treating his high-ranking troops with respect rather than using them to yell out his frustrations as seen in WFC)
Then by Prime, with the war having ended and the last few remaining Autobots being in hiding and him not even needing to be in the field most of the time, his gladiator persona fully disappears behind the machiavellian cold leader, with the only thing that briefly brings it back is whenever he has a chance to fight Optimus (Just look at how he insults Optimus with the "What was it they said? 'The weak will perish'?" during the season 1 finale to his back-and-forths with Optimus in the final battle of FOC)

Hasbro wanted their own interconnected universe like the MCU and DCAU because Marvel made that from of storytelling popular and everyone wanted in on it, they did make the “alined” continuity from the Cybertron games and Prime, and they have tried again since then with the later storylines of IDW 2005, the post credit scenes of Rise of the Beasts, and more recently with Skybound.

Hot take i love RiD

I think RID as a kids show isn’t horrible. It’s certainly better than some other kids shows that have come out. My main issue is why couldn’t it be its own standalone thing. Why did it HAVE to be part of the aligned continuity.

TBH I love RID because it was a childhood show.

If it wasn’t trying to be a TFP sequel, I feel like it would have been alright.

RID would’ve been greatly helped by not trying to ride Prime’s coattails, I’m sure no one would’ve cared if it wasn’t explicitly a sequel to Prime

Why is it so true, the had the best Transformers show in history (Transformers Prime and try changing my mind) and then throw all its good values away especially its designs with RID so fuck you RID

I rewatch RID15 more than I do Prime. I think Prime is the better show but it’s also more disappointing to me. A lot of potential it never lives up to. I went into RID15 expecting crap (based off how fans talk about it) and I left pleasantly surprised. RID15 also feels more fun and lively especially compared to the small cast in Prime. I like the villain-of-the-week structure it has.

RID 2015 Didnt deserve the hate it got, it was a really good show. Sure, its a big downgrade to TF Prime and many of the designs are ugly, but it was still good. I only recenlty watched it cause I always thought it was goofy and the characters looked ugly and many people told me exactly the same, but I was wrong, the show was genuinely funny, the characters were endearing and had good chemestry between them and yes the designs of many characters are bad, their animal motifs are really bad and it irks me that only their robot form looks like that but their alt modes are still vehicles (what was even the point) but there are many others with solid and awesome designs like Crazybolt, Quilfire, Thunderhoof, Strongarm, the Stunticons (even if they are the same dude in different colours) they might even have the best Dragstrip design and many more. Now the story definitely needed a little more work, specially the Fallen's plot (that did suck) and they definitely made a big mistake reviving Optimus, but other than that Steeljaw's plot in season one (until they ruined it with the Fallen) and two was good, Starscream miniseries aswell and the Stunticons plot was by far the best part of the series even if it was super short, those two arcs actually felt like things that would've happened in TF Prime.

Prime is better than RID15 but RID15 Bumblebee is better than Prime Bumblebee
1
u/Dying-Artist02 4h ago
I disagree heavily. RID Bumblebee was a whiny leader who spent more time trying to come up with a good catchphrase than actively dealing with the fact that two of his teammates were at each others throats.
Getting to see Prime Bee grow from a young hotheaded kid into a warrior that ended up killing Megatron will always be one of my favorite arcs in the show. I have a hard time seeing why anyone would think RID15 Bee is better
2
u/Need_Tums_Antacids 3h ago
Agreed. So whiny and a dick to Optimus. If megatronus is back, heck yes Optimus should be in charge so people don’t die. It’s not about you, bumblebee

u/BurnerDawg26 2h ago
Prime Bee is nothing but Raph's dog for the majority of the series. I'm not having the revisionist "R2D2 Bee is a good character" stuff. He's barely a character until the very end.
1
u/Dying-Artist02 1h ago
What do you even mean? How is he Raph’s dog? Did you even watch the show?
1
u/BurnerDawg26 3m ago
Yes? He doesn't talk and a lot of the time he's used as just the "cute" character.
Imagine a Spider Man show where Spidey couldn't talk. That's Prime Bumblebee in a nutshell.
