Hi all, my wife is starting to see opportunities from Banner Health in Phoenix. It's our hope to live there in the winter.

She's looking at contracts at Baywood, their heart center, Gateway, Casa Grande. She's PCU.

One thing has her concerned: the recruiter told her today that Banner doesn't do block scheduling. She's accustomed to working three days straight and having 4 off. Or at least two straight. Do they not schedule out like 6 weeks at a time?

Also, would like to avoid working every weekend.

Where-ever she's been, they like her so much they generally give her a good schedule. And extensions. But it sounds like Banner is so massive that may not matter.

Looking to get some insight on travel nursing. I have approximately 2 years under my belt and I want to explore other provinces in terms of nursing to see where I can settle.
I am basically looking for recommendations, where do I start and how?
Is there any agency that you’d recommend for traveling inside Canada?
Is any experience better than the other in terms of units?
Would you travel to British Colombia or Nova Scotia or any other province for starters?
If anyone has any insight, it would be much appreciated.

So i stopped getting scheduled. I figured it was a mix up and simply an oversight. Can’t get in contact with Traveler RN Admin (called repeatedly) so reach out to my manager. Manager tells me Traveler Admin received an email from my agency saying i was taking a month break. I contact agency/recruiter and they say they haven’t changed or sent anything to my hospital and my contract has remained unchanged.

Do i just not fix the problem and collect facility cancel for 4 weeks? According to contract, I have (and agency has) i’m scheduled to work. Hospital claims something different and refuses to schedule me.

Need some advice. I want to start traveling so I can eventually find a new place to settle down in. Not sure what I should do with my house while I’m gone. Have you rented yours out on FF or Air BnB? I don’t have anyone to stay here and look after it while I’m gone. I really don’t want to sell it until I have a solid backup plan…

I’m so confused. I called the CA BRN and they told me they had received all of my documents and were only waiting for my fingerprints. I completed the fingerprints, and now the portal shows Fees, Documents, and Fingerprints all as “Completed.” Does anyone know how long it usually takes after this for the license to be issued? I’m also confused about why it still says “Action Needed” if BRN confirmed they received everything.

Does anyone have a responsive recruiter that has a good personality and willing to work for you?

I've read a number of tax questions here and if you would indulge me, just one more. My only travel experience prior to now was during COVID, and things were such a mess everywhere it didn't seem to really matter when it came to my taxes. Now, I want to make sure I'm doing this right. I'm not asking for tax advice. I just want to get some honest feedback. I own my home condo outright. However, I do pay HOA monthly fees, insurance, and property taxes. The electric bill is minimal just running the fridge while I'm gone. All in, I pay just under $1,000 per month for my home. I am on contract 800 miles from my home base. I'm bringing home $2400 per week after taxes which includes a $1375 weekly tax free stipend. My rent is an all inclusive $1200 per month. Am I safe in assuming that I am within the IRS tax laws regarding travel nurses and stipends?
