I'm caught between two choices:

I'm thinking of dropping a class to instead enroll in one that is held in Durham, but I wouldn't be able to attend every lecture because of my personal schedule....

I know at first it sounds like I should stick to the class I'm already registered in and can actually attend in-person, but I've heard certain things about the professor, and based on the syllabus — I think I might have a difficult time. But in this other course at Durham, reading it's syllabus, I feel that I'll do better despite not being able to attend the lectures all the time...?

I'm curious if anyone has had to enroll in a different campus course, and how did it go? I know it might depend on the professor and their delivery style, so can anyone speak about having had Jessica Moore?

Hi there , i have a 2019 macbook air but its display on one side has lines as it fell from me an year ago. 5% of screen is hindered. My issue is i am starting nursing this fall and I am thinking should i bug a new mac? I dont know if that be right thing to do given my money situation but i would buy it if its worth it. The other options i have is to buy a monitor for cheaper with a mouse. And the third option is to buy Apple Pencil along with keyboard since I have iPad buts its 9 th generation with small screen.

Which option you would choose?

What is it like living on campus?

Is it a good university (e.g. do the professors care about teaching?)

Is Peterborough safe, especially for women?

Do the majority of people speak English or French?

I'd be studying Psychology and I'm not a fan of big cities with lots of people if this helps anyone give me some ideas

I got conflicting advice on getting textbooks for classes. Last year I got them all ahead of first class based on advice that I should check previous syllabus. It turned out for two classes we used newer editions for the first time so I ended up wasting a few hundred dollars.

2nd semester I waited and most profs understand that not all students would have textbooks on the first day and I didn't want to encounter the same issue so I waited and had a hard time finding one book but it was sorted by 2nd class.

Wondering what everyone else does and if its more important to have the text on the first day in 2nd year compared to 1st?

Do we just wait until the first day of class?

Did anyone get this external email from follett? Wondering if its phishing? I logged into the campus bookstore's direct website and dont see any option to opt out.

hey all, i was waitlisted for the studies in shakespeare class for fall semester. last time i checked i was #8 on the list, but i just checked again today and it says i am in the class, but i didn’t receive any email notification of this or anything like that. also, in the seats available for my section it says that 31 seats are taken with a capacity of 20.
don’t get me wrong, i really, really hope i am actually in this class, but i don’t want to get my hopes up and be disappointed if it was a mistake lol.

does anyone know anything about this? who should i email for questions (i.e. the office of the registrar, the prof, the english department, etc…)? TIA, any insight helps!

On myTRENT it shows a pending OSAP payment September 3rd of my full OSAP amount that I’m receiving. Making my balance in the negative (they owe me) for what I’m supposed to receive over and above my tuition.

Is this typical. I went to College for two years prior to Uni this year and my statement of account only ever showed my OSAP payment to the College just being what I owed.

Just wondering if this is typical of Trent?

I didn't take those courses at Trent and they're from different unis so do they convert my grades to the Trent equivalents?

Well💀 For anyone who’s on the waitlist like I was, unfortunately they’ve reached capacity. I won’t be able to attend for this fall since it’s my first year in uni and I want the full experience. Additionally, lots of my first year labs and courses aren’t available in the winter semester so I have to wait until next fall. But in my opinion this is complete bs.

I jumped through so many hoops only for it to have already hit capacity with no possibility of getting off the waitlist. I was under the impression that the waitlist extents a few weeks into the semester to see if there’s no-shows or drop-outs.

When’s the best time to apply for next years residency? I’ve heard everything from this November to January of 2027. Ugh

For B.Ed First Year. The Year 1 calendar says that Sept 8-11th is foundations week but no schedule for that week has been provided yet.
