Captured 25 years ago today, on September 1, 2001, these photographs by Konstantin Petrov show the view from the 107th floor of the North Tower, where the Windows on the World restaurant was once located. Just 10 days later, the World Trade Center would be forever changed.

Not exactly sure who took this but It's such a pretty photo to me for some reason. I can't really explain how it makes me feel but the sun gleeming off of the metal really just reminds me of a more innocent time.

I find it interesting that in some angles, it looks like there is only one tower.

Does anyone happen to have any photos of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church while it was being renovated in 1992?

Photo from family day trip. 💕 vividly remember this , and this photo is very special to me.

I was 16 and staying at the Marriott between the Twin Towers for a pageant. My dad and I went to the top and took home this souvenir photo. I still have it today, along with the hotel key and pamphlet, as well as pressed pennies from a later visit to One World Trade Center.

So I don't know what I was searching for on Google exactly but I do know that I came across these pictures for this 1984 movie called New York Nights and no, of course, the fact that it has erotic elements is not why I posted these pictures but rather because I wanted to post these two pictures as they show the original World Trade Center twin towers on them.
