Financial Aid

UPDATE AS OF 8/26/26: I received my updated offer letter with the revised loan amounts at 7:36 PM. Hopefully I’ll have my refund soon😩

Anyone that’s enrolled in undergrad, less than full time, and receiving federal direct loans, have your loans been applied to your account yet? I see where my Pell has been applied.. I called yesterday and they said they’d have something back by today from student accounting. The lady was kind of rude to me (I can understand why the ladies are this way. I just don’t want to call again and upset them even more) I’m really needing my refund to pay a bill that’s already late and I don’t get paid from my main job until Monday😭

I’m full time but they sent out an email yesterday saying that the part time students will have a delay in their aid because they have to manually go through each student’s account and adjust their balances due to the bill that was passed this year.

I’m in a grad program at UAB. Check your UAB email. As another comment said, anyone enrolled part time will have delayed financial aid disbursement. It will also be reduced.

You shouldn't understand why the ladies are like that. It's their literal job to respond to student questions.
