masters application

is having an application done earlier beneficial for applying for a masters at UBC or no?

Not really. The portal closes when it closes, and applications are evaluated on their merit.

Most applications won't be reviewed until the portal closes.

However... if the program has rolling admissions, or early admissions, then yes, there can be a benefit to applying in the early round.
