Hi guys, just curious, is there any way I can spend less money on food ? I live on campus but I don't have a meal plan because I don't really like the campus food so now I just eat at commons all the time but I've been spending like $30 to $40 daily over there. Is there any way I can reduce the costs?
( Also I don't own a fridge in my dorm )
Thanks!
Edit: More like $35 to $40 lol

Hey y’all - I tried to find other posts regarding this before submitting my own, but I didn’t see anything recent.
The parking on north campus around noon is understandably dastardly. No complaints here, I’m just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a more reliable area for parking… I’m willing to walk if it means no stress about the time I leave my house to arrive on time!
Thanks for the advice

Hi All, I'm trying to connect with any students who know if the school has nanoparticle lasers like these in this article about the University of Rochester. I presently am working with other Niagara Falls/Buffalo residents to get the water cleaned and our landfills remediated. I've been studying possible methods for some time and have been trying to find a way to get the NYS Dept of Conservation to get some of these and start cleaning the landfills. Anyone know if UB makes these as well? Also, is anyone working on landfill remediation and the mechanics of it, how to create improvements? There's a lot of growth in this sector in China, some has been studied at the University of Rochester but I am unaware if UB has been making similar progress.

I’m a civil engineering major and my only class on Tuesdays is CHE 127 lab from 9:00-11:50. It ended at 9:50 today. Is that normal?

Just wondering because it seems like some people are struggling with this. Had a professor stand in silence during a sophomore level lecture waiting for people to be quiet like this was high school. Genuinely so disrespectful for the students trying to learn and to the professor. Is the next generation cooked?

I’ve been trying to mobile order food ahead of time on the GET Mobile app at places like Wrap It Up in Ellicott for breakfast, but the place isn’t even showing up in my app while I’m in my dorm, let alone allowing me to view the menu or place an order. my app only allows me to order from a limited number of places, and most of the options it shows me aren’t even close by. Is this just how it is? I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or missing something.

Hello! Do graduate students have access to the campus gyms as part of their tuition cost?
Also, is there a list of resources on a webpage etc or something that shows all of what is included in graduate school tuition? I’d like to utilize some of the resources in campus, even in addition to the gyms

How did you meet your friends? Where and when exactly did you meet them? Bonus points if it's a long detailed story! You can share as much or as little as you like.

Does anyone know any places near North Campus that sells mace?
r/UBreddit • u/CuriousParakeet • 23h ago
Online it says 7 days a week from 4 until 12 but when I show up it's empty. All of the computers are on but there's also no one at the desk.

Is ordering ahead not available at the starbucks near the commons anymore? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t… when I really need it, it doesn’t
Does anyone know what’s going on?

Why do people make a wall to get in to a lecture room before people inside have the chance to even get out? Seriously it's infuriating having to fight my way out when people are stampeding into the room like zombies. It's like they don't realize there's no room for them inside if they don't let people out. Please do better you're grown adults what the heck
