Rant/Complaint 2/4 pm enrollment time??
so i'm just confused on how any of this is fair. we haven't even gotten a chance to TRY to get our classes and they're already full? was there no way to stagger seat releases or anything??

for the same class level I understand some amount of randomization to keep things fair but if you are early Pass 1, then you should be later Pass 2. This isn't even rocket science it's just basic fairness. We did this better at UC Berkeley in ... wait for it . . . 1993. Classes were printed out in a course book and we literally signed up with our touch tone home phones. Still less drama and more organized. Here's a start, how about letting people retake courses they got a 5 in AP years ago and how about transferring classes, credits, and AP credit well in advance of the start of enrollment?

I’ve been trying to book my classes for the past hour and literally every class with a good prof is already full 😭
Do they usually release more seats later, or should I just book whatever is available right now?
Also, quick question: are most of these full seats already taken by upperclassmen?
I haven’t booked a single class yet and I’m starting to feel cooked 💀

and for the classes that are still available it's literally only the badly rated professors 😭

some of the best professors I had were badly rated for being challenging.

it's lower div math, everyone is teaching themselves from the book and not going to lecture anyways. All the content should be the same between profs it is not that deep

like what do u mean i took 17 aps and dual enrollment courses js to get the 2 pm slot.. ive already finished all of my ges except for english and art. i couldn’t get my math course and didn’t get the professor i wanted for english like.. i thought id be getting higher standing bc of all the aps and cc courses i took in high school.. and to make it worse im 2 pm again second pass bc for whatever reason they thought it would be a wonderful idea to let the ppl with bad timings stick w the bad and the good have the good

There is staggering enrollment times starting in August all the way through September your best chance is if you qualify for priority enrollment but not many do

Is there a way to get priority enrollment? I am not sure if the full classes are booked by upperclassmen or freshmen

Those that get priority enrollment are seniors, those with dependents or kids, and those with certain scholarships they get the very first appointment times but if they are already booked it’s probably filled by upperclassmen or if it’s a stem class or ge all bets are off it could of been filled by anyone cause those classes are just straight harder to get into

Do you perchance know, generally, how many people per class have priority enrollment? I'm trying to gauge how much competition I have...
