Rant/Complaint Randomized enrollment windows is terrible
I was dealt a 4pm window on the second day and am feeling frustrated with what I have. Of the four classes I was aiming to book, I could only register for DOC 1. Even then, one of my backups wouldn’t let me register even though I had an approved TEA request! The other three were available with many seats upwards of 100 still open this morning, but nope, I couldn’t grab a single one. It’d be really nice if the booking order was reversed for pass 2 but I don’t think a single person in admin thought of that. How did they genuinely see none of this coming? I guess I’m cooked in both rounds, ucsd please fix TSS and make the system fair for everyone

I was planning on taking my colleges writing placement course. I sent two TEA requests, and both got rejected even though qualified. Something is up, but next quarter should be fine. As long as you’re taking productive courses like your GE’s or your major required courses! I had to just choose another class and save the class I wanted for next quarter. By then, they should have our transcripts ready.

when you realize the average incoming 18 year is FAAAAAAR more competent than whoever is making the decisions at this place.

I agree. The incoming freshman with later first passes should have an earlier second pass. How is it fair that we get cooked both rounds?
