Help Changing Major Classes

I just changed my major to journalism, but I’m still enrolled in my psych math course. I know I don’t have to take Math120 for the journalism major, so would I be able to drop it and not face repercussions from BSOS as my major change request is still pending until I meet with an advisor?

Hi, I work in BSOS. You can drop during the schedule adjustment without penalty. That won't count as an attempt toward your gateway math requirement, and we won't check whether you kept a math course. The university requirement (and what advising colleges will check for), however, is that you attempt a course that satisfies your fundamental math (FSMA) requirement by the end of your second semester (Spring). If you decide to drop MATH120, you will be on the hook to complete another FSMA course, and a FSAR if you dont already have it.
