UT Tyler Level 3 nursing advice?

Starting Level 3 soon and taking CAI + Mother Baby. For anyone who’s already taken them, what helped you the most with studying?
Did you mainly use lecture slides, ATI, Quizlet, YouTube, etc.? Also, any tips for exams, clinicals, or things you wish you knew before starting would be appreciated 🤍

POC Diversity

Are there any South Asians or Indians at UT Tyler? Honestly, just POC? Obviously, it doesn’t really matter that much, you can be friends with anyone and people here have been so incredible. But since Tyler doesn’t have enough of a population to celebrate things like Garba or Diwali, I just think it would be nice to meet some people so homesickness doesn’t strike. At the very least, have a diverse friend group!! I love learning about all these cultures and stuff too. Honestly, I’m also looking for more city/town people as well. I love everyone here, they’re so sweet, but I need to get out of my apartment even if it’s not anything super hype. Just get together in others rooms, stores, thrifting, cafes of people have cars, etc.

cap 🤘🏽 Bored at UT Tyler

Hey guys. I’m a CAP student at UT Tyler living at Upines. I’m trying to be social and make the best out of this year because everyone says freshman year is supposed to be super fun. I think maybe because I came from a larger city in Texas? But I feel like all I’m doing here is class, wander, home, repeat. I haven’t really been able to go out and would like to meet some hype people who, yeah are chill and can have fun wherever, but also like to go out or party a bit. Can someone throw an event or smth in their room? I don’t knowwwwwww whatttt to doooooo..

organizations & clubs 🦅 DnD or OnePiece club?

Is there an active DnD or OnePiece group on campus? I see one listed on the club website but the last Instagram post is from 2025 and the last post on the UTT site is from 2019. I’m a freshman so I don’t really know what’s going on yet but I’d like to meet up if anyone else is interested.

I am getting a physical refund check from UT Tyler. I am going to pick it up on Friday. I am just trying to figure out where I can cash it. I'm unclear if the check will be from UT Tyler, or Bank Mobile.

Level 3 nursing school advice

Everyone says that level three is the hardest. I want to hear from anyone who has experienced level three. What is it that makes it so hard? How hard are the classes in comparison to other classes we have taken? Do you have any tips to help incoming level three students be more successful? Tell me anything and everything you want about level three and four. Also, I am curious about what level four is like. What is capstone? Thanks in advance for any advice! I am happy to answer questions about level two if anyone has any.

How is UT Tyler?

I am an incoming freshman going to Tyler and I’m a little bit worried about how there doesn’t seem to be much of a variety of people. I noticed a lot of clubs are heavily religious, I have a hard time finding book clubs or dance clubs, the only events that are planned (so far ofc) seemed to only be planned by the school and I don’t see anything interesting from organizations themselves

I am completely fine with Ut Tyler not being a big party school and that’s actually want I love about the school but I’m worried it’ll be hard to make friends because it seems like if you aren’t super religious or doing a nursing program it’ll be hard to find friends

So TLDR: What is it like going to UT Tyler from actual students? Is it easy to make friends if you aren’t very religious? Would it be easy to start maybe some sort of kpop dance club or a book club of sorts?
