Results & Cut-Offs Cleared JRF
I cleared JRF in History.
I was always an average student, but knew one thing I love history, I chose it and I'll make the best out of it. Idk what the future holds, but it is definitely the first step. It'll be chaotic, messy and full of perpetual struggle. But one must imagine Sisyphus happy. Congratulations to me, best birthday gift ever (it's on 31st). 😭💖

Congratulations!! Also Happy Birthday in Advance 🫶 I've recently started preparing for ugc net and had a question regarding marks and attempts. Are we supposed to answer all the questions since there is no negative marking? Will it affect percentile?
Currently when I give pyq or mock, I attempted all the questions which I'm sure about 1st and then answer those questions which I am not quite sure about. I know it affects accuracy but does it also affects marks and percentile?

Thank you so much. You can attempt every question, nothing will affect your percentile. Keep practicing pyqs, make yourself familiar with pattern, characters and repetitive areas. I can suggest one thing, use elimination method to it's fullest. In this exam only, I was confused about between two options I went with the first because it resonated with someone from a specific period. And it was correct.

Congratulations to all those who bagged the hefty defty jrf!!! To those who couldn't, it may seem like a failure, might also be acc to some understandings, know that you are no less deserving than others. That you can do it. All that you need is - correct your course of action, strategize well wrt pyq analysis, prep well wrt MCQ attempts, read and revise!!!

Well congratulations to you,way to go. I cleared management in p.hd category only back on June 2025. This year I took electronics science but was unable to qualify. I got 136 and for p.hD only it was 142. I fall under general category.

I'm from UR category as well, so I understand the pressure. Don't get too overwhelmed or feel demotivated. Take 6 months off, give it your all and see if it's working out for you. Best of luck.

Yes, last sem wrapped up around July 1st , but I got my results in oct, it stretched a lil due to classic govt uni behavior.

I scored 210 still couldn't get jrf, jrf cut off was 217 when I gave, congratulations homie, it will be much easier with a jrf then without one

Thank you so much and first of all I'm so sorry the fiasco over english is so disappointing. It was my 2nd attempt. I religiously revised pyqs, I can be specific about history but in general try to understand the pattern, which portion is theory based or person specific. Use elimination method, personalised notes is highly recommended. In history paper chronology is very important, you can look for your paper which type of question is dominating. I'd suggest don'tchave the perception to cover it all rather strategically divide and learn. Don't miss out on p1, most scoring part.

It is. You can try. As I've said, I'm not very studious. I can't do much at once, I tried in my masters but couldn't do it for this reason only. Then I started preparing after it
