Support Smell Like Shit

I'm in a flare right now, and every time I fart it's wet and every time I change clothes I have a shit stain on my underwear. Been like this for a few months. Flare is starting to let up, but still having this issue.

I'm at work and lifted my leg to shift position and smelled shit on myself. Fortunately I'm not close to anyone. Just posting to say I hate this disease. :)

Women's maxi sanitary pads👍

Swallow the pride and just do it. I’ve done it, and I thanked myself later on. Plus, I only needed it temporarily, so who’s to say you have to do this indefinitely? It’s only until it gets under control.

Consider wearing diapers or pads. Can't trust a fart right now. Bloody stool and mucus can surprise one at any time in flare with urgency only making it is worse. Are you using steroid enemas? They might help with urgency.

I use women's sanitary pads, just the cheapest maxi ones. Works for me as a man. I don't go round telling everyone I'm wearing them! Really no big deal. Takes away a lot of anxiety for sure👍

Can someone recommend pads for men? Diapers are really uncomfortable and extremely warm. :( I'm in a flare too and sharting is so emberassing...

If you are just looking for shart protection, always discreet very long liners. The Depend guards will be in the wrong spot and feel like sandpaper anyways.

As other comments are saying, women's pads are worth trying out if you haven't already. They're generally more accessible and cheaper as well.

Not in a flare but yesterday I considered buying Brown underwear.

I had a while where I was resistant to wearing diapers but they've genuinely improved my quality of life. I highly reccomend them, even if you just wear them on particularly bad days. The peace of mind and not washing a million pairs of underwear (and sheets) is so worth it for me

From a pride perspective wearing diapers vs people seeing poop on my pants or smelling me feels pretty cut and dry.

Sorry to hear this, been there! Try any dietary changes recently? I had to give up red meat (beef and pork), alcohol, and raw veggies, in doing so I have noticed a difference. Good luck 🤗
