Wanted to get the disclosure out of the way first. I mod VTOWN, and I own and operate todovictoria.org. So take this post for what it is: me telling you about something I made.

The short version is that a friend talked me into rebuilding it. A lot of people aren't on social media as much as they used to be, or they've logged off entirely, and event info around here has mostly lived on Facebook pages you have to already know about. If you're not scrolling those feeds anymore, you don't hear about things. The site is a single page you can check to see what's going on in town.

We originally started this as a response to the common phrase, "There's nothing to do in Victoria."

It's free, and it's just me running it, not a company. I don't collect anything from visitors. The only info I have is an email address, and only if you choose to sign up for the weekly or weekend list. That's it.

I put some of my artwork on the page, and there is a way for other digital artists to share their work if so desired.

If there is a feature you would like to see on the site, let me know.

Also, if you promote events and want to be included on the site, the easiest way is to email your flyer to flyers@mail.todovictoria.org.

Why would we trust this person to act with integrity having the powers of a U.S. Senator?

Someone should tell the Governor that the black paint used to paint over the colorful crosswalks is starting to fade and the colors are starting to shine through.

You remember those cultural crosswalks most everyone loved?

They might need a fresh coat of black paint before November.
