Hi! I'm looking for a new vacuum and I'm wondering if there are any advantages of the E3 over the E2 when one has mostly hardwood floors (plus a medium sized area rug), but also a dog dumping hair everywhere.

There's already lots of threads online that I read about the E2 vs E3 and I was doubting whether yet another post would make a difference, but I'm wondering about one particular thing: oftentimes it's advised to get the E2 when you have mostly hardwood floors and the E3 when you have mostly carpet floors.

However, how does that advice hold up when lots of (longer) hair comes into the mix? Because I read in various places that the turbo head that comes with the E2 gets tangled easily in hair and is by far not as easily cleanable as the powered roller head from the E3. In that sense the E3 sounds like the better choice, but I'm not sure if that powered head is really intended to work (well) on hardwood floors at all?

Plus I read a lot of people that they'd recommend to future proof by getting an E3 (because of the powered hose) which sounds like good advice, but if that powered hose is only ever useful on carpets (and not dog hair on hardwood floors)... Combined with the fact that I read complaints here and there that the powered hose is relatively heavy and less flexible and I'm in an apartment and not a huge house...

Anyway, long story short, just curious what the advice is between the E2 and E3 on hardwood floors but with lots of hair.

Getting good belts was difficult, until I found a seller on ebay selling polyurethane round belts in numerous sizes. These should well and truly outlive the old vulcanised rubber ones. My hoover should now be able to continue to outlive plastic Dysons and sharks and outperform cheap straight suction machines on carpet.

I haven’t bought a vacuum in forever so I’m completely lost here.

I’m moving to an apartment with both hardwood and carpet flooring. I do have a dog who sheds a decent amount.

I’ve looked at both Shark and Eureka but having a hard time figuring out which would be the best. Open to other brands though!

Price really isn’t an issue so long as it lasts.

Hello, I used the Eureka Mighty Mite vacuum and have been using the Wessel-Werk TK286 head which has just suddenly stopped spinning for me (I opened it up to clean it and everything) so I’m in the market for a new head. I do love the TK286 because it does get everything super clean but my only problem with it is that I have to untangle the brush multiple times every time I vacuum. i live in a house with a Pomeranian mix and both me and my wife have hair that’s prone to breakage/fall out so we collect a lot of hair on our floors. I wish to stay within roughly the same price range as the TK286 if possible.

Is there a vacuum head that would fit my home better than the TK286?

Is there such things as like a vacuum that sucks via a needle or a tip that sucks via a needle? I collect isopods, but I have strict no-dirt laws in my home, and something like this would be very helpful to attach to a vacuum so I could clean spots my spoon can’t get (what I’ve used before) and suck up frass and related material without sucking up a bunch of isopods.

Looking for recommendations for a handheld upholstery vacuum please. Would like to easily dry vacuum dust from our fabric couch and headboard. Also would be nice to vacuum dog hair from the dog bed.

We have a shark navigator lift away (large, plug-in vacuum) for everything else. I just find it a little annoying to maneuver quickly for the headboard and every inch of the couch.

My neighbor was moving and I found this in the items he was discarding. I know it’s not a vacuum cleaner, but it provokes the same interest I have in vacuums growing up in the 60s. I recall my mother having some device such as this one.

Can anyone help a girl out? I am shopping a Sebo E3 and before we schlep out to the store to test it, I want to make sure it will fit in our tiny cupboard. We have a shelf footprint of 22.5" by 11" - height can be varied. I'm envisioning standing the E3 on its end and placing the brush and wand next to it. Can anyone that owns an E3 tell me whether it would fit on this shelf with the head and wand (fully retracted) on the same shelf? How high does the cubby need to be to fit eveything? I would be taking the whole thing apart to store it. Sorry if this is a weird question but I'm hoping an E3 owner might be able to assist.

Vacuum model - A9T-Auto

The soft roller head has detached from the end cap due to build-up wearing away the housing. Seems to be a design flaw because this part can't come apart to be cleaned...until it breaks.

The replacement part is the whole head assembly, which costs $150. But the rest is fine it's just the roller and endcap that's the issue.

Not sure if anyone has seen this and has any recs on what to do? If I get a replacement head, the same thing is just going to happen again..

Hello, we live in the uk and our current shark Hoover has died.

She doesn’t want a stick Hoover or a pull along one. She wants one where she doesn’t have to keep stopping to remove long hair caught in the brushes and wants it to manoeuvre well.

Shes had bad experiences of Dyson before.

I am debating between a Dyson v10, Dyson v15, or riccar r65. Which would you suggest in actually cleaning well and longevity? I have LVP flooring and rugs.

Hello everyone, I need help on choosing a budget friendly (less than $200) canister cleaner.

My parents live in a two storey house, with full carpet on the 2nd floor bedrooms. They want something budget friendly, lightweight, and multi-surface cleaner.

There's hardwood floor in the living room, area rugs, and thick carpets in the bedroom.

I have been looking at shark, bissell, hoover, but the models are giving me a headache.....

I’ve tried flushing it with warm water. It’s had this issue before. I wonder if the solution had too much foam. Any advice or suggestions welcome.

When I go to thrift stores, I seek out vintage vacuum, cleaners, cookware, and other interesting items from simpler times these are two of my vacuums that I acquired, and they needed very little service to get them up and running.

I’m setting up a new office and we’re getting close to opening. Right now I’m doing most of the cleaning by myself.

The office is about 2,500 sq ft. Around 60% is low pile carpet and the rest is hard flooring. After moving everything in, there’s dust, paper scraps, bits of packaging, and some fine dust left from the work we had done. Under the desks, along the walls, and around the baseboards are the worst areas.

I’m using a regular vacuum right now. The suction is fine, but cleaning a space this size takes forever. I finish one area, unplug it, move the vacuum, then find another outlet. The machine gets caught behind boxes and chair legs, and the hose and cord keep getting tangled. Then I have to put everything away when I’m done.

Some of the dirt on the carpet takes a few passes. I also have to stop and change attachments whenever I move to corners or under desks. Moving the vacuum and dealing with the cord takes more time than the actual cleaning.

I'm looking for something that can stay in one spot with a hose long enough to cover most of the office. It would be nice if the hose could retract when I'm done.

I’d rather have a corded vacuum since I need to clean for a while without stopping to charge. A larger bin and a few basic attachments for carpet, hard floors, and under furniture would be enough.

Anyone used a fixed vacuum with a long retractable hose? Is this kind of setup worth it?

Snagged this bag boy for $175. Any tips for me to make sure it lasts long and not ruin its motor?
