Our Regional Parks Department is seeking a Visitor Services Assistant who will provide customer service and business support services to the Regional Parks Services division in the Regional Parks Department. You will be coordinating field trips and watershed tours, processing commercial use permit applications, and booking facilities and programs.

I’m currently interviewing for a Senior Manager-level marketing role at a large consumer brand and the waiting is killing me lol.

My process has been:

• HR interview
• Hiring manager interview
• Cross-functional panel interview
• Final interview with the VP last Tuesday

The final interview went well and was more conversational/leadership-focused than technical. At the end, the VP mentioned they still had a few interviews that week and expected the hiring manager to make a decision by Friday.

It’s now Tuesday and I haven’t heard anything. I sent the recruiter a short follow-up today but haven’t received a response yet.

For those who made it to a final interview, how long did it take to hear back with an offer or rejection? Did anyone get an offer several business days after the date they were told a decision would likely be made?

Key responsibilities

Qualifications

Is the job market really bad here for IT? I swear to god it's like the market has zero direction in what IT even is. Some jobs want a senior for 20 dollars an hour (25) others want 130k with 10 years of experience. No certificates on my end. Just been working and finishing school. Have a computer science bachelors which I recently just finished, but no luck getting into that. I'm lost.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Should I try just being a contractor and doing stuff on my own?

Currently do have a job, the new CTO though understands the leverage he has and is absolutely abusing my efforts at work. I'm tired, overworked, and just losing so much hope.
