Avant Garde Vegan brands?

I love avant garde fashion but I'm searching for some vegan alternatives. I'm researching some Rick Owens DRKSHDWS vegan shoes and they have some, I know Rombaut for shoes but not much more. Do you guys have some other brands that I can look up?

vegan handbags

a lot of people have been asking me about vegan handbags in India. Vegan in today's time specially in India is often misused - because vegan leather is not necessary plant based leather. companies like nestasia often claim their products to be vegan but if you have a look at the product description then you will see that they actually use PU. Brands like hipshipp, are killing it. its a new brand, the bags are made out of banana leather which is 90% sustainable and they also provide service and repair option

Kate Beckinsale red fox fur vest

Kate Beckinsale wearing red fox fur vest while playing with her daughter Lilly Mo Sheen. I always admire her style of Fashion. The fur vest really gives the whole Outfit a mesmerizing touch, fitting very well with her long black Shirt and tight-fitting black pants along with the sunglasses. This woman really understands what it means to dress elegant and even keeps this elegance on her normal days without any late night Gala's, red carpets or movie Sets.

Second-hand leather/wool as a vegan, where do you draw the line?

Hey everyone, I’m currently transitioning to veganism and, especially, I’m trying to rethink the way I buy clothes. I’ve already decided that I don’t want to buy new leather, wool, fur, etc. because I don’t want to financially support industries that exploit animals. I also don’t want to support fast fashion, so I’ve been buying a lot of my clothes second-hand.

But I’ve started wondering about something that I’m honestly not sure how to feel about: is buying/using leather or wool second-hand still compatible with veganism?

On one hand, the animal product has already been produced, the animal obviously isn’t being exploited because I’m buying that specific item, and buying it second-hand means I’m not giving money directly to the original company or contributing to new production. In some cases, it could even mean keeping an existing item in use instead of buying a new synthetic one. On the other hand, I’m becoming vegan for ethical/antispeciesist reasons, and there’s something that feels contradictory about continuing to wear animal-derived materials, even if they’re second-hand. I also wonder whether buying them contributes, even indirectly, to normalising the idea that leather/wool are desirable or acceptable materials.

I’d really like to hear how other vegans think about this, especially people who also try to avoid fast fashion and buy most of their clothes second-hand.

Where do you personally draw the line with second-hand leather/wool? And do you think there’s an ethical difference between buying these items second-hand and simply continuing to wear something you already owned before becoming vegan?

iso professional vegan briefcase/laptop bag (NOT imitation/"vegan" leather)

hello!

I am looking for a briefcase or shoulder laptop bag to give my partner as a gift. I am having a very hard time finding one that does not

  • Have large sections made of leather or imitation leather
  • Look like it's weathered/distressed or military surplus (lots of visible zippers/pockets/clips)

My partner loves canvas/waxed canvas, so I am hoping to find one made exclusively of canvas (and interfacing/structural components). I am hoping to spend about $150 usd, but willing to spend up to $275.

Is anyone aware of any professional/clean/new-looking briefcase/laptop bags that fit these criteria?

Cute, Comfortable Women’s Sandals Recs?

I am going to Greece next month and am looking for a cute pair of sandals that can (a) look cute with dresses- nothing too orthopedic looking and (b) be comfortable enough for long days of walking.

Obvious (c) vegan :-)

Appreciate any recommendations! Based in the US.

Looking to spend $150 or less!

Does anyone know what brands have a similar look to this shoe? I love the mixed materials look with the shiny parts, matte parts, prints, and mesh. I also really love the thick soles.
