It was one of my favorite places to go while I was in Middle School! How long was it there? couldn't have been that long, right?

So we booked a Colosseum Deluxe | King Room and were given a Octavius King Room. The one we booked was more expensive cause it’s newly renovated. When I called to try and get the price difference refunded, they said “room assignment happens at the front desk, when you book the room type is a request” and I couldn’t get to anyone who cared to refund the difference. Also, with the credit card Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa we upgraded to stated we’d get instant Platinum status. We have not in 3 months. They do not seem to be honoring anything. Plus you still pay parking even if staying at hotel. Buyers beware of their horrible practices and their bait and switches. Horrible!

I'm (22M) solo traveling to Vegas this Labor Day weekend at first I was going to stay at the cosmo but I wasn't able to get the cheapest room, now it's almost 3k for 3 nights. I'm wondering if The Venetian is a good option?

I'm hoping for a young crowd that I can mingle with and make friends.

Update: I bought the Venetian because Aria was $5000 for 3 nights, Fontainebleau was $3000 for 3 nights and Planet Hollywood, Circa, Flamingo, and other "younger crowd" hotels weren't on the Amex travel portal and I wanted to use the $300 hotel credit to make my stay cheaper which you can only get when you book through AMEX FHR or Amex Hotel Collection.

So I was able to secure the Venetian for $1768-$300= $1468 for 3 nights and complimentary room upgrade upon arrival if available and $100 credit towards on-property charges.

So crazy to think that these performers in Awakening and Mad Apple only have so much time to find another job. I mean, it could’ve been worse and they could’ve canceled the show with no notice ….but I think this is a good piece that looks at how these entertainment closures affect individual performers

I've noticed an increase in the number of businesses, promoters, and professional vacation planners posting and commenting on the sub recently. This sub has always had relatively light moderation, but I feel like advertising for specific businesses or personal services typically wasn't allowed.

Why are we letting Spiegelworld directly advertise shows, the Tao Group post ads through their employees, and promoters and vacation planners comment on every post?

I don't think this sub needs heavy moderation, but there appears to be growing usage of this sub as a free advertising platform and I'm thinking that's not what the vast majority of members are wanting it to be.

Is this just me being on here too much or are things actually going the wrong direction?

Was trying to do an offer match as a platinum mgm player with the Venetian. Received a response that asked for all the details (win/loss, requested dates, etc.) but then i noticed in the reply separate instructions for tier matches that must be done in person. I guess i assumed incorrectly that offer match and tier match were the same. Question is, should i go ahead with the offer match (currently getting 4 nights comped and anywhere from $450-$1200 resort credit) and then do the tier match when i get there? or should i just go first (staying at an mgm resort) and do the tier match in person. does it even make a difference. read on some posts about not staying or gambling there first to disqualify from any matching. thanks in advance!

We are going to see Backstreet Boys at the sphere in January. My 10 year old is coming with me. My husband is coming to Vegas with us, but not going to the show. I swear Vegas content creators make the city look way more expensive than it has to be. Every video is cabanas, daybeds, bottle service, fancy dinners and some “must-do” experience that costs a couple hundred bucks. Good for them, but that’s not how I do Vegas. Give me pizza, tacos, a pool day, a power nap and a casino floor and I’m good. What’s one Vegas thing everyone seems to hype that you’d never pay for?

Looking at a night in mid-September and was planning to get a table for 4, and see this new option.

The cost for their "GOLD" package is the exact same as getting a 'prime' table -- so same cost, same table. This seems to be 'unlimited' (though worded a bit vague).

The bottles offered are also ok with us, so that's not an issue.

Wondering if anyone has done this or knows anything about it? Because it's vague, and in their interest to not pour, I could imagine slow service, or not giving us additional bottles when we ask for them. I am copying the description from the Tao website below, and attaching their list of bottles.

We're heading to Vegas next week. Because of this sub, I learned about the set pricing for taxis from the airport to The Strip.

Is there similar set pricing for other routes? For example, from The Strip to the Fremont area?

We'll have a group of 8 going out to dinner from Park MGM, so I'd like to have a plan as to the best option.
