Bought my great grandma's house about a year ago, going through some old stuff and found some radios. I've been able to find the other ones online, but can't find anything about this one.

Anyone know anything about it/what it's worth? Or any model information? I've tried searching "Electra TRC-2600" and Google is giving me nothing. Thanks!

Good morning, I am working on a Silvertone 4586 and when I move the tuning knob it is hard to turn. Then it will turn but the hands don’t move because the string is slipping. Any suggestions?? Thank you!

1947 crosley, just gives static. When i mess with the phono cord input it does mess with it a bit when its on phono (my phone makes the static seem worse than it is, its really just plain static)

It's from a Dynatron Jewel so early 60s ish. The resistor in the left is clear but what is the component attached to it?

The marking says 10KSAY. Does this make sense for a capacitor?

Hello I hope that this is the right place for this as I'm not sure where else to ask but I've got a Realistic Astronaut 8 (12-751) here and I have been trying to fix the dial cord for a long time now and I just can't get it. The cord itself is intact and it worked when I first got it but it somehow got undone. I haven't been able to find any archived manuals or anything similar to help me. The only issue I'm having is too get the blue pully things (don't know the proper term for them sorry) to go one way and then the other. Here are some images of the radio and the inside along with an image of the pulleys and such. Thank you!

Long time looker first time poster. This is my first tube style radio ever. Recently acquired this Zenith 10A1. I have no clue if it works or not, I was just wondering if there is any precautions I should take before plugging it in. I have made a dim bulb tester for amplifiers on jukeboxes, should I plug it into it before the first power on? Any advice and information is welcomed I appreciate it! Would like to restore the guts in it before anything burns up in it one day.

Speakers were tested and are fine. Maybe a tiny bit stiff cone but they work well. The issue is this unit distorts harshly, even if not used super loud. At low volume it sounds phenomenal and bass heavy but turning it up any way makes a bass distortion. Unit was restored in late 80s/early 90s according to seller. Also sometimes has a crackle and pop sound

I have a volksempfanger ve-301w in my collection. It’s a pre ww2 German radio.
One of the tubes loose some white kind of paint/chalk. Does anyone know what this is?
It comes out of the bottom, there is a hole. See pictures.
Maybe anyone also have an idea what kind model this tube is?

I've acquired a Zenith "High Fidelity" with handsome skin but questionable innards. It'll be my first-go at repairing a tube radio and I am concerned with what appears to be a rather cobbled attempt by someone else in the past decade. What do your expert eyes see of what I found inside?

Was this a good deal? I had to clean it up quite a bit since it was covered in filth. Luckily the tubes seem good.

Got this radio in an antique store the other day for $40, theres 3 on ebay for almost 10x that so im assuming i got an alright deal. It has a barrel jack plug that says 9v, but what amperage do i get? any easy way of finding the polarity?

I believe this might be C33 per nvhrbiblio.nl/schema/Grundig_3045W.pdf schematic (listed as 0.1 µF 125V). Radio worked with this old one, didn't work without it, works with a mylar 0.1µF 250V replacement, just want to make sure the correct one is installed.

In the second photo, under a stronger light, a faint "0," is visible.

Can color bands tell if this can be a 0,1 µF?

I (M23, France) recently inherited an old KÖRTING NOVUM 21420 radio (what google lens says) from a family member who passed away, and I would really like to see if I can get it working again.

At the moment, I can receive a few stations on UKW (FM/ultra-short wave), but I can't seem to pick up anything on the other bands. The radio has KW (short wave), MW (medium wave), and LW (long wave), but I don't receive any stations on those bands.

I've read that radios may need an external antenna, and I'm wondering whether mine might be missing one. If so, is it possible to fabricate or buy a suitable antenna today?

I'm completely new to vintage radios, so I'd really appreciate any advice on where to start. Could the lack of reception simply be an antenna issue, or are there other common problems that might cause the MW, LW, and KW bands not to receive anything?

I'd love to get as much of it working as possible, especially because it has sentimental value to me. Any advice, suggestions, or things I should check would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

More of a hobby to try and fix it up, figured something like this would be simple enough (as far as electronics repairs go) as radios are fairly simple devices. I have a 3D printer and can use CAD to make replacement parts if needed. But since I don't normally do this sort of this I don't even know where to start. The basic stuff I can look at, seems to be missing a rubber belt for one of the spinning wheels the tape recorder needs. But the radio straight up doesn't work, and neither does the battery port power anything. Stuff like that I would need a reference to get a hold of. The internet is completely missing these type of manuals as far as I can find, so if anyone happens to have one that would be great. Or if you're able, just some photos of the various components of an RQ-120S you already own so I can cross reference what I'm missing or what needs to be replaced. If anyone has this info, please post the manuals on Internet Archive and maybe the Radio Museum so they can be accessed by random dudes who find them in thrift shops, as this model doesn't seem to have almost any documentation on it.
