VNB3 floor rail spacing and rivet locations needed

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’m restoring a 1962 Vespa VNB3 and have welded in a new floor. Unfortunately, that means I’ve lost the original holes that locate the six floor rails/rubber strips.

I’m trying to reproduce the original factory layout rather than just position the rails by eye.

Could anyone with an original VNB (or VBB if the floor layout is the same) help with either:

  • A clear, straight-down photo of the floor showing all six rails and their rivets.
  • Measurements showing the spacing between the inner, middle and outer rails. Ideally rail centerline-to-centerline, or measurements from the center tunnel.

I already have the locations for the two outer rails, so the problem is correctly positioning and drilling for the middle and inner pairs.

A photo with a ruler or tape measure laid across the floor would be fantastic.

Many thanks!

Build Help Help with wiring my 1981 vespa p150x

Post image

Hi all!
I swapped the points to the polini 171.0549 cdi kit and need help with wiring it
When i connect all of the old cables to the new one 12v output (thro the regulator) and the break light circuit all of the light are off until i press the break pedal (and the break wires are getting vary hot)
I think there’s an issue with my break light wires

Did anyone use the polini kit and can help me with wiring?
Their website is not very helpful and has very limited instructions on it

Any help would be appreciated!! (Photo from before the wiring process)

Been in my grand parents basement for 30+ years

I am wanting to restore/put back together a 1970 150 sprint Vespa that’s been in my grand parents basement longer then I’ve been alive lol. I believe I have all the parts needed, my grandfather bought all the parts that needed replacing in the 80s. I still have the original receipts. I’ve never done anything like this so I would love some pointers and maybe things to reference to help this along. The plan right now is to just get it assembled and running. Later might get body work fixed and paint but I kinda like the rough look. Any help is appreciated, thanks everyone!

My Lambretta 175 AC from Argentina

A local version of the 175 TV Series 2, known as the 175 AV, was produced in Argentina. Mine is a 1965 model. The handlebar controls have been modified using those from a 150 Li, as the AV's controls are very stiff, whereas the 150 Li's are much better.

Lambretta LAMBRETTA LI150 NO SPARK

hello everybody, i have been trying to restore my lambretta li150 for a while now. everything seems fine except there is no spark in it. it has been sitting in my garage for 2-3 years. i am not sure the main problem, but the spark plug and spark wire is working fine. i tested it. i have 1 of 3 suspicions:

1.) ignition coil
2.) condenser/stator
3.) the key isnt closing the circuit

the reason i have that suspicion is because any small key can fit inside the keyhole and lock and unlock the steering lock. but i dont feel any click or anything while trying to rotate it to ignition.

does anyone have any clue?? what i should do

Are there any actual reliable restorers / exporters in Vietnam?

Aside from possibly Saigon Scooter Centre… are all the others scams? I’m interested in importing genuinely restored Vespa’s to Geneva, Switzerland.

Please help me with the carburetor hookups.

I'm trying to restore a Honda Tact Fullmark AB07E moped. I had to replace its original carburetor with a carburetor from a Honda Tact AF16. Please help me with the carburetor hookups.

On this carburetor, there is a drain, three outlets (one outlet is sealed from the factory, and one outlet is on the rear side of the carburetor).

On the intake manifold (the tube connecting the carburetor to the engine), there are two outlets.

The fuel tank has a vacuum-operated petcock (vacuum fuel tap).

On the cylinder, there is the original cold-start sensor from the old carburetor, which has three outlets.

At the bottom of the engine, there is an oil pump which has two outlets, one larger and one smaller in diameter.

Please tell me what to connect to where.

Love two strokes. Want to get a Lammy Slim Line at some point. Maybe from España. My first ever vehicle was a P. Third wave California Mod for life. 2Tone. Docs. Flight Jackets and Parkas.

Vespa Looking to buy my first scooter-- does this look like it could be bodge?

I don't know much about scooters - I tried researching "bodge tells" but I don't exactly have the eye to know what I'm looking for yet. I found this lovely old vespa on facebook marketplace, seller says his father in law restored it and it hasn't been driven much. He says they bored the engine to increase it to 185cc (is this a thing?? is it safe?)

I'm hoping to find a cute vintage scooter like this one to take me 24 miles to work and back four days a week in the two fairweather months we get a year. Just trying to get a bit more informed before I pull the trigger.

(This is listed as a 1978 vespa p125x)
