App / Website / WIFI Random Question...
I've been on a few VVs now and always had an iPhone with me, which has worked without any issues with the app / on board WiFi etc. I recently changed to a Galaxy Z Flip 8 - I know this might be a daft question, but wondering if anyone has sailed using this or a flip 7 and has had any issues? I sail in a few weeks and just want to make sure it all works seamlessly.

I am on Android.. never have any issue (assuming it's not an issue on Virgin's side)

You’ll have better performance :). On android you can even share your WiFi connection, so since they limited to 1 - device per guest, just go into your mobile hotspot settings on the Flip and share your WiFi network to your laptop or kindle or whatever :)!

I use a Fold--no problems. In the past the app worked better with Android than iPhone but you never know with Virgin Voyages :)

The only issue I've seen on Android is some versions like pixel make it difficult to turn off your mobile data while leaving on wifi calling. Samsung seems fine in this regard.Â

Pixel literally has a tile in quick settings to just turn off Mobile Data while keeping WiFi on. Swipe down once and depending on how your your tiles are organized you might have to swipe over to see it.

The only consideration I'd have is that little bits of sand in foldable hinges is less than ideal (as a frequent cruiser and someone who lives near the beach that's actually one of the big reasons I've avoided foldables for daily carry). As for the Android part, however, no issue. Contrary to American iPhone users, the 70% of the world population that uses Android get to do everything just fine 😜
To someone else's point you can even share wifi via Android devices.
