I’ve lived here for 5 years now and still am shocked at how hard it is to get a quick and tasty breakfast burrito. Java surf is pretty good, but is pretty expensive relative to other burritos I’ve had around the country. Does anyone have any recommendations, hopefully under $10?

I was looking for an outdoor track to use, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any that the public can use that aren't locked. I saw one at Princess Anne Middle School that looks promising, and I was wondering if anyone has ran there after school hours, or if anyone knows of any other tracks. I'm aware of Mt Trashmore and other outdoor areas, but I'm specifically looking for running tracks.

Good and bad experiences. I’m just starting this process and would love a little headway on my search for providers under CHAMPVA.

Specifically looking for general practitioners/family practice, OBGYN, endocrinologist, reproductive endocrinologist, and dermatologist.

Willing to drive to Va Beach, Norfolk, or Chesapeake for quality providers.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening at Coastal Family Practice of Nimmo in Virginia Beach? My parents and I have been going for years. They personally have been thru 3 different personal doctors there in the last 3/4 years, I have been through 2 now. Last week we got word that apparently the newest Doctor is leaving /left the practice.

My parents are on medicaid and the head Doctor apparently wants to fill the gaps with Telehealth. Medicaid doesn't cover Telehealth I guess? So they can only get their scripts filled in office visits... One doctor can't see every patient lol.

So kinda looking for recommendations for primary physicians in vb!

Looking for a great recommendation for a nail tech.

It is 100% necessary for the tools to be sanitized and the package to be opened in front of me.

I went to a nail salon this weekend and all they did was spray the nippers with alcohol. That is not sanitation.

Does anyone know if pier fishing is free after Labor Day? Someone tried to tell me that but I couldn't find anything about it.

Also, what are the rules for fishing from the shore? Any restrictions?

Last question - any recommendations for taking my two boys fishing in the area?

I’ve only been in the area for just under two years. Every few months I’ll come across a massive roach by my kitchen sink. I have bought traps and the food that kills it and put it around my kitchen. But is this normal for the area?? Is there something else I should be doing? I’ve cleaned under my sink and fridge and all the areas they’d hide and never had signs of an infestation. I’m just so grossed out someone help 😭😭

My friend found this guy in the stairwell of their building and is trying to grab some basics to keep him ok (enclosure, that kind of thing?), but definitely isn’t equipped to keep him long-term! Hoping to find his/her owner quickly (she plans to reach out to her complex’s office tmw when they open)

In the mean time, she has nicknamed him/her Chicken Tender.

Edit: Also, if anyone has any advice on how to care for a gecko outside of what is mostly available online (as in what you would do first in this situation if you’ve cared for one before), that would be appreciated! Also, if she can’t find the owner, she may be looking for someone willing to adopt if anyone knows someone who really likes geckos
