Hub error! I need help!

My smart hub pro 2 which got installed about a month ago had an update so i clicked on update. Now it says "System check failed" I clicked the little i at the top right and it says up to date so I rebooted and still showing the same error. I don't know what to do. I called support and they quoted me $99 service fee for someone to come out here and look. Total BS since I just got this a month ago.

So you shouldn’t need to pay a tech fee within the first 120 days typically but as someone else said typically taking it off and popping the battery out for about 10 seconds will fix that error

Have you tried 'power cycling'? Aka taking the battery out the back and putting it back in?

Yes I did that an hour ago and the same issue persists.

I would get with support to run a systems test then

If it was just installed a month ago then they would bypass the appointment cost for the first 90 days.

Posting on behalf of OP due to internet outage: Seems to be the call center, I'm going to try chat support tomorrow and see if they can get me a technician out here.

The pro gen two has a button in the bottom right that you hold for about five seconds and the screen will shut off and power cycle. You no longer have to take the battery out like the older model

Sometimes it still takes removing the battery as an update error won’t have the button work

Return it. They're a scam company and you're gonna end up with 10k bill at the end of the year. Also if you financed you're already screwed.

A "system check failed" on a hub that shows up to date usually needs a look at the update status on the backend, DM me your account details and I'll get the error looked at and the fee reviewed.
