Yeah revert back to the stock airbox instead of your hot air intake.

It almost looks like an SPT intake. One came on my bugeye from the dealership. It is nothing but hot garbage and I got rid of it once I upgraded to a 20g because my tuner said it was causing my IATs to be 30 degrees hotter than the ambient air.

I mean 30F hotter than ambient is normal for a turbocharged car, that air is coming out of your turbo 'cold' side but still hot even after the intercooler. I regularly max out my IAT temp at 150F on a hot track day (top mount)

What I really meant to say is my IATs dropped up to 30 degrees when I went back to the stock intake compared to the shitty hot ram intake. It was stupid hard to tune because the high IATs were pulling timing making a consistent tune really hard to do.

Did you relocate your IAT sensor/get an aftermarket one?

Thats where the OEM snorkel and intake go through if im not mistaken. Unlike later cars, Theres a little plastic piece that pushes air through a tube to the stock air filter.

It may not look the best but it is doing its best to feed your air filter cool air from outside the hot engine bay.

Are you missing the fender liner?

that would be a cool 3D print out of TPU. I have the same hole on mine from my Cobb intake. If I design something ill send you the files.

Im skilled enough to make an ugly cover maybe with a funnel to force some air to the filter lol.

GP Moto snorkus bypass, the stock inlet ram, and a heatshield airbox.

I used blue tape and some gorilla tape. It’s worked for the last 2 years since I owned the car.
