In Progress Project First wands

I am making my very first wands for a ren fest outfit and would love thoughts or suggestions on stain/paint color and embellishments or if I should leave them close to as is. The main colors in the outfit are blue and amber if that helps! Thanks for any feedback

I think it might be elm? I was on a nature trail and this tree was cut up on the side of the path, so I plucked a branch from the pile

Those are great-looking wands. Maybe find an amber stain for the raw whiteness of the wood. Tobacco stain? I love the spiral one!

Thanks! An amber stain is also what I was leaning toward and yeah the spiral is my favorite

You could also go with a Linseed Oil instead, and that tends to give it an amber color with the added benefit of protection. Follow up with some wax and buff it with some brown paper, not only will it be protected, it will have a beautiful sheen to it. I agree these wands are very nice indeed!
