I've never been a season ticket holder, but have been a fan for 40 years and Rod Strickland is my favorite Wizard of all time. At this point I am getting pretty excited for the season, with tempered expectations.

I'm thinking about getting season tickets and trying to have them pay for themselves - basically sell some of the premiere games (Spurs, Knicks, 76ers, maybe Heat) and be able to go to 10 - 15 games for free (with the proceeds from the sales paying for the balance). I'm not looking to make a profit, just break even.

I understand there is some risk with this approach. With the buzz around the team (AJ, the various Traes, AD, the young bucks) it feels like the secondary market might pay enough to make this work.

Anyone tried this before? Is managing ticket sales on StubHub/SeatGeek/whatever a full time job? Any tips? I understand there is some risk here.

Think this lineup is best suited for the present and long term especially if Bilal makes a leap we will likely start the season with him on the bench so there will not be a real POA defender which will rough next to Trae Think longterm Kyshawn is best suited at the 4

The roster is definitely deeper than it was a year ago, and there’s a lot riding on the development of, Alex, Kyshawn and the rest of the young core.

My question is: when you look at the East, where do you think the Wizards actually stand today? Are we closer to teams like Atlanta and Orlando than most people realize, or do we still lack the high-end talent needed to make that jump?

What’s the biggest thing this roster is still missing?

We have a good amount of talent and because of AD and Trae have some expectation to be competitive this upcoming season. That said, for a two timeline approach, do we bring AJ off the bench and go with a line up where Bilal/Tre Johnson (for spacing reasons) and Ky start (with Trae, Sarr, and AD)?

I like AJ but I don’t think he’s a plug and play type of player. His best attribute is scoring and he needs the ball in his hands to maximize his scoring. Obviously this season isn’t make or break but I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have him start his career on the bench to get more reps being the lead guy at the NBA level. As the season progresses and when players miss games, we can work out the pecking order for our team.

I was watching some of our games against the playoff/play-in teams from last season. Last night, I watched our game against the Hornets in late January. Brian Keefe started the five most recent first-round picks of our team. I completely missed it when it happened, and I’m not sure if he did it again in the following games. This was Riley’s first career start in the NBA, and Tre Johnson also scored a career-high in points in this game.

What could this mean? Is it officially happening???

I mean wtf? Am I overly optimistic on this team? All these “experts” have us as a bottom 5 team in the east. I understand that these are opinions but at a certain point it has to be blasphemy.
