Because they’re lazy assholes that use the excuse “it’ll just be given to someone that needs it.”

It isn’t. Someone else has to pick that shit up.

It's a commerical festival that has run for decades. According to various comments here this aftermath isn't unusual. One can assume that the clean-up effort is priced in well into the 380€ they charge for a weekend.
