They don’t have any dumpsters or trash cans anywhere in this clip. What were the people expected to do with the waste?

Seems to work well. Let's keep calling them scum and see if that works.

In my experience many festivals give trash bags for recycling and have dumpsters spread out to dispose them in.

I just finished a comment telling someone that he shouldn't have the mentality of "someone will clean up after me". But I don't have any illusions about that changing anything.

If your plan for improvement is based on "if everyone just..." Then it's not going to work. That's idealism and just means you stop looking for actual solutions.
