The original game is set during pre-colonial times. You are a chieftain, datu, sultan or lakan. The goal of the game is to raise a powerful civilization or conquer the entire archipelago before the Spaniards come. The end game is either you challenge the Spanish or join them.

You are to select which kingdom, island or polity you start. You could be the datu of Cebu, Lakan in Maynila, Rajah of Tondo or Sultan of Sulu. Just remember that by the time the Spaniards come, it will be game over for you if you are too weak.

Suppose that a Holy Grail War is called, but this time it shall happen in the Philippines. Heroes of old will be summoned by people in the present, sent to fight in the War for the purposes of taking possession of the Holy Grail, which can grant any wish. Now, each Hero has a Noble Phantasm (think of it as an ultimate ability that is related to their myth).

One can influence which Hero gets summoned by possessing a relic/artifact related to the Hero you want to summon. So should you want to summon, for example, Lapu-lapu, you have to possess an artifact/relic that belonged or at least interacted with or is related to Lapu-lapu.

For the purposes of this hypothetical, we shall go with only Filipino epic heroes, gods/goddesses, mythical creatures, and real-life heroes. As for the classes, we shall only have the traditional seven Fate/Stay Night classes: Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.

Who likely will be in each class and what would be their respective Noble Phantasms?

I can think of some, like Lapu-Lapu being a Saber, Panday Pira as Archer, Miguel Vicos as Assassin etc. Who else can you think of?

Let us say that you represent the average Filipino or the average Filipino (as in 100 million people) katulad mo mag-isip or is just like you?

What will the country be like and how will it change?

The govt says that they hired a Dutch firm that identified 39 areas to build water retention facilities. Hearing some of the areas, to me , the locations where obvious. Theere is realy not much open spaces left to builb retention ponds or underground reservoirs. None of the proposal are impressive or ambitious enough to realy reduce the number of flooding in the Metro. Because I like the idea hitting two birds with one stone and somewhat related saying that there is an opportunity in every crisis. Why not use this opportunity to build more low cost housing. I think we should have design competition to redesign entire barangays that are already flooding to be designated water retention areas. It could be a simple as high rise multifamily dwelling that have sunken sport complex beside them that will be filled with flood water 2 months in a year. It could be just buildings where the first floor is meant to be flooded. It could be houses on stilts with floating or elevated walkways or a combination af all.

Sa mga kapalpakan ng NLEX these past few weeks. Laking tulong sana neto. And it will bring a lot of economic opportunity in the North Luzon East provinces.

So currently LRT-2 terminates at Recto, but they plan on extending it east to terminate at Pier 4 with stops at Divisoria and Tutuban in-between. However there is potential to extend it further north up to Malabon via Mel Lopez Blvd.

How useful would this be? Or would it be better off as a new separate line like MRT-7 instead of being an extension of the already long LRT-2? Or would it be better as a new line from Malabon to Cavite parallel to LRT-1?

With recent news about China reducing its holdings of U.S. Treasuries, increasing its gold reserves, and looking for alternatives to the USD, could these be signs that China is preparing for a possible conflict and trying to reduce its exposure to potential sanctions?

I remember similar discussions around Russia before the Ukraine invasion, particularly about building alternatives to the traditional financial system in anticipation of sanctions. (e.g. crypto, gold, yuan)

Obviously, there could be plenty of other economic reasons for China to diversify its reserves. But how realistic is it that these moves could also be part of war preparation? And what other signs would we need to see before considering an actual conflict increasingly likely?

Imagine a high-speed railway system that could take you from Manila to major cities in Luzon, then connect to the Visayas and Mindanao through a combination of rail and sea/rail links.

If this existed today, how do you think it would change the way Filipinos travel, work, study, and live? Would people still feel the need to move to Metro Manila for better opportunities?

What if we could allocate the excess rainwater from the typhoon season to wherever it's needed?

I'm thinking a series of pipes, dams, and flood catchment systems so that we can capture, store, and move the water around.

Aside from Makati, BGC, and Ortigas, what if the Philippines had other Central Business Districts (CBDs) within and outside Mega Manila? Assume that the political will, infrastructure, and corresponding population needs (internet, schools, transportation, etc.) follow development.

The country experienced major economic challenges during both the Ramos administration and the Arroyo administration.

The 1997 Asian Financial Crisis affected the Ramos administration, while the 2008 Global Financial Crisis happened during the Arroyo administration. These events affected businesses, investments, economic growth, and especially the Philippine peso.

The peso continued to weaken because of those crises and I do wonder.....

What if these financial crises had never happened?

Would the Philippine economy have grown faster or would be better after their administrations?

Could the peso have remained stronger against the US dollar?

Would the Philippines have attracted more foreign investment and developed its industries faster?

And most importantly, what do you think the Philippine economy and the peso would look like today if those major financial crises had never happened?

What if there was a 3rd runway on NAIA built during FVR admin (1992-1998)? Runway 26/04L would run from Manila Bay reclamation then towards where Terminal 4 was located, practically running parallel to the current Runway 24/06, which would become Runway 26/04R.

This would mean, Roxas Blvd would go under Runway 26/04L, and yes a lot of land sequestered by the government to make the new runway, and probably new “Airport City” where Okada and Solaire are located right now.

Like the president, what if all elected and appointed government officials were limited to just one 6-year term for that particular position for their lifetime?

This would mean that yes, some workarounds would exist (e.g. running for congress after stepping down as president, running for congress again under a different congressional district, etc).

This may also give rise to interesting scenarios like one cannot be appointed as executive secretary again if they have already served six years as one.

Another interesting consideration would be that of career officials. Though their jobs may not be affected, the constant change in leadership may affect continuity in terms of policy implementation in exchange for their (likely) further entrenchment thru tenure.
