I played this quest in my first play through but don't think I encountered it my subsequent plays. Where or what do I need to do see it again during my next run.

I think he's underneath Novigrad but I don't remember how to start the quest.

It's an exclamation mark in one of the turns while exploring from the sewers. You see/hear that scholar yapping to himself on how to open the tomb.

Edit: have to Aard a weak wall to get there

I just finished HoS and was gonna finish the main story before starting blood and wine which I’d never played so I could be ready for the DLC
