News/Article Poco F9 Ultra & F9 Pro Launch

Poco F9 Ultra & F9 Pro models officially launched today. Official specs here and here.

F9 Ultra – 8 Elite Gen 5, 12-16GB/256GB-1TB, 6.9” 185Hz AMOLED, 200MP, 50MP 5x Tele, 50MP ultra wide, 32MP selfie, 8050mAh, USB 3.2 Gen 1, metal frame, Bose 2.1 Speakers.

F9 Pro – 8 Elite Gen 5 V, 12GB/256GB-512GB, 6.59” 185Hz AMOLED, 200MP, 50MP 2.5x Tele, 8MP ultra wide, 32MP selfie, 6330mAh, USB C, metal frame, Bose 2.0 Speakers.

Both - 100W wired, 50W wireless, 27.5W reverse wired, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.

Both - Dual SIM, any permutation of SIM or eSIM

Spec is as early leak, with one addition, being a 16GB/1TB option for the F9 Ultra.

Pricing according to GSM Arena’s article, with full pricing grid here.

Poco F9 Pro (12/256GB) starts at $699/€899.99 - Early Bird pricing brings it down to $649/€739.99

Poco F9 Ultra (12/256GB) starts at $799/€1,099.99. Early Bird prices are $729/€829.99

Update - F9 ordering has just gone live on Xiaomi European websites prices below

Early Bird - F9 Ultra 12/256 € 829, 16/512 € 899, 16/1TB € 1199

Early Bird - F9 Pro 12/256 € 739, 12/512 € 799

Keep in mind USD prices exclude local sales taxes. Euro prices are inclusive, i.e what you'd pay.

Poco early bird pricing is clearly pushing sales toward the F9 Ultra. It'll be interesting to see how the F9 Pro sells, given the substantial differences in battery size, on top of chipset, telephoto, ultrawide, 2.1 speakers, and USB C 3.2 which is only found in the Ultra.

News/Article Poco X8 5G Gets Global Launch

Having previously thought to be an India-only release, the regular X8, will get a global launch, full details on Xiaomi Global website, X8 overview, and spec. Should appear on regional websites soon.

X8 is a variant of the forthcoming Redmi Note 17 Pro, but drops its 8MP Ultra-wide, and eSIM. Back panel, of the orange model, looks a bit like the Nothing Phone CMF 1.

X8 5G – Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 6.83” 120Hz AMOLED, 8340mAh, 67W, 22.5W reverse, 50MP OIS, 16MP selfie, 6GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, plastic frame, IP69.

On pure chipset benchmarking - 6s Gen 4, is at best a side-grade/minor downgrade, compared against the Dimensity 7300 of the X7 5G, a decent mid level chipset.

Europe will not get the 6GB/128GB version, offered to other regions.

GSM Arena lists European pricing as: 8/256 € 399 (early bird € 319), 12/256 € 449 (early bird € 359). USD pricing was not listed. No confirmed information, but I'd expect X8 5G to receive the same 4 OS upgrades 16-20, and 6 years of security updates as the X8 Pro, and X8 Pro Max.

Discussion Redmi Buds 6 Pro skip two songs instead of one

I'm having a strange issue with my Redmi Buds 6 Pro and Xiaomi 15T Pro.

When I use the Next Track gesture, it skips two songs instead of one for example:

Song A → Next → Song C

But when I use Previous Track, it only goes back one song as expected:

Song C → Previous → Song B

(which was not the case 2 days ago i also did a hyperos update)

This happens on every music app I've tested, so it doesn't seem to be related to a specific app.

I've already tried:

Changing the gesture from triple tap to single tap

Assigning Next Track to the other earbud

Resetting the Redmi Buds 6 Pro

Updating the earbuds to the latest firmware

Changing Bluetooth AVRCP from 1.5 to 1.4 and 1.3

None of these fixed the issue.

I also tested the exact same Redmi Buds 6 Pro on another phone, and Next Track works perfectly there (it skips only one song).

So the problem seems to be specific to my Xiaomi 15T Pro / HyperOS Bluetooth media controls.

I also noticed that the Xiaomi 15T Pro has a separate gesture/control interface for the Buds inside the Bluetooth settings, in addition to the Xiaomi Earbuds app. I'm wondering if there could be some kind of conflict or duplicate media command being sent.

Has anyone experienced something similar ?

Any ideas on how to disable the system-level Buds controls and let the Xiaomi Earbuds app handle them exclusively would also be appreciated and thank you

trying to switch to apple emojis

i know, i know. i've just switched from apple though and i like the apple emojis better.

zfont3 doesnt work. the app wants me to use shizuku as a file manager, but keeps running into an error every time i try to add the emoji pack, even though i've been able to use it with canta perfectly fine. i haven't been able to figure out what the issue is, and haven't gotten a response from the ticket i sent in yet.

i've been trying this guide instead:

https://droidwin.com/how-to-enable-import-option-and-install-mtz-theme-in-xiaomi/

but the latest version of the app cloner it wants you to use now locks the "no kill" option behind their premium tier, and the "cheapest" you can go is $20 for 1 month. um, i think i'm good. i tried to use an older apk of the app, but it stops you completely from cloning an app unless you update to the latest version.

i tried a method using the miui themes editor, and uploaded my mtz file on there, but it reset my wallpapers and icons to the default poco theme. i used the ios 26.4 mtz file from zfont3.

sooo. any other way i can do this?

Is Xiaomi Pad 8 (256GB) worth $458 for my mom’s birthday?

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a tablet for my mom’s upcoming birthday, and I’m currently leaning towards the Xiaomi Pad 8 (256GB version) for around $458.

She mainly needs it for watching movies, YouTube, browsing, and light games. Primary requirements are a sharp/bright display and solid battery life.

For those who already have the Xiaomi Pad 8 (or the Pad 7 series):

How is the screen quality and outdoor visibility?

How is the battery life and overall stability of HyperOS?

Is it worth paying extra for the Pad 8, or would a Pad 7 / 7 Pro be more than enough for these tasks?

Thanks in advance for your advice! ✨

Redmi Note 10 suddenly died and now won't turn on — battery or hardware issue?

My Redmi Note 10 was working completely fine with no unusual heat, smell, swelling, or anything like that.

Yesterday while I was using it, it suddenly powered off even though there was still battery percentage left. I got it to do something after plugging in the charger, but then the battery showed 0%, which was weird. After that, it would basically only turn on while connected to the charger.

Then today I left it charging overnight, and when I woke up it wouldn't turn on at all.

I've tried holding Power, Power + Volume Up, and Power + Volume Down for around 20–30 seconds multiple times. Nothing happens. I only felt a very brief vibration/buzz twice during all my attempts, and I'm not even sure if I imagined it because it was really faint.

The phone has been dropped quite a few times before, so my friend thinks maybe the battery connector got damaged or disconnected somehow. But I'm not sure.

Could this be the battery, battery connector, charging port, motherboard/power circuit, or possibly even the screen? Is there anything else I can safely test before taking it to a repair shop?

I really don't want to factory reset it because I have important data on it.

Thanks.

Are there more features in chinese Watch s4?

I see it says hyperos3, and for iphone ios has Mi Fitness Xiaomi Wear Lite app.

I read some post saying if you download chinese app, it will have many more features for the watch, like mi band app store can download games on it and whatnot. That global versions are very limited in features.

Is this true? Can I somehow download chinese app on ios?

Struggle finding much information about this or xiaomi watches on google.

Region wise I am on European app store iphone, but now traveling Asia, would be buying it in Philippines, or could also pick it up a from Hong Kong or something if it would mean some kind of local unlocked version with more features, as long as it worked outside and would be in English still.

How are the watches btw? Would you recommend it over any like Redmi, Huawei, Garmin, Pixel? I use apple but don't want their overpriced watch.

Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi (EU): Broken right earbud, support useless. Will a CN replacement work?

Hey guys,

Broke my right earbud on the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi (EU).

Official Xiaomi Support refuses to sell single replacements in Europe. I tried a 15s case reset, but the Xiaomi Earbuds app insists on detecting both buds to manage pairing or firmware.

On AliExpress, individual replacement buds are only CN versions.

Quick questions:

Will a CN right earbud sync with an EU left earbud + case?

Is there a firmware/region lock when mixing EU and CN buds?

Do I need to buy both L + R CN earbuds and just keep my EU case?

Anyone tried mixing CN/EU buds on Xiaomi gear? Thanks!

Does anyone know how to disable or modify the system-level physical keyboard shortcuts on Xiaomi (MIUI/HyperOS)?

I keep accidentally triggering the Calendar app (Search + L) and it is driving me crazy!

When I go to Settings -> Keyboard, mouse, and trackpad -> Keyboard

shortcuts, it just shows me a hardcoded list of the shortcuts with no option to click, edit, or delete them.

• Has anyone found a workaround to disable specific combinations or rebind them so it stops triggering these app shortcuts entirely?

• Are there any third-party key-mapping apps (like Key Mapper) that can successfully intercept and override these native Android/Xiaomi shortcuts without needing root?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Redmi 13 can't use 5GHz Wifi ?

If there is anyone using a Redmi 13 with the Helio G91 Ultra, I’d like to know if 5GHz Wi-Fi works for you or not. Even though it's said supporting dual-band, my friend's Redmi 13 only picks up 2.4GHz and completely fails to detect 5GHz.

It's not an issue with the Wi-Fi router, as other phones connected to the same network work fine—only this Redmi 13 doesn't.

We even tried the common fix for phones having trouble with 5GHz Wi-Fi (turning on Airplane Mode, rebooting the phone, and connecting to Wi-Fi after it turns back on without turning off Airplane Mode), but no matter how many times we tried, 5GHz simply won't show up at all."

Discussion Which upcoming or recent Xiaomi phones has enabled Camera 2 API?

What are the upcoming or recent midrange Xiaomi phone with Camera 2 API enabled out of the box?

Im currently on the lookout for 5G capable phones that can run Gcam with no problem.

The last Xiaomi phone I had that has Camera 2 API enabled to run Gcam smoothly was the Poco F1 and I was very satisfied with that phone's camera performance especially the night shots.

Last time, only Snapdragon devices had these enabled while Mediatek chips needs to unlock bootloader (or something, Im no expert). I dont know if its still the same.

Im only gonna get midrange phones. Hoping to be pointed to the right direction.

Thanks.

My Redmi Pad 2 fails the Xiaomi official verification site, but system check says PASSED. Fake or normal? 😅

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a Redmi Pad 2 (Wi-Fi version, 8GB/256GB in Graphite Gray) and wanted to make sure it's 100% legit.

I tried checking the Serial Number on Xiaomi’s official authentication portal, but I keep getting the dreaded "Your IMEI or S/N doesn't exist" error. I’ve tried typing it with different formats, uppercase, lowercase, and testing various codes from the box... nothing gets recognized by the site.

The thing is, when I open the hardware info menu on the tablet itself, everything looks pretty solid and matches the packaging:

PSN / Box S/N: Matches exact code on screen and box

Build Number: HyperOS Global

System signature check: PASSED

Secure Boot: Yes

Has anyone with a Wi-Fi-only Xiaomi tablet run into this issue where the verify site rejects the S/N? Is it normal for Wi-Fi tablets not to be indexed in their web tool, or should I be worried?

Thanks in advance!

Not a support forum Help a girl out 🙏 Making a big upgrade from Mi 11 lite!

I've been looking at several options to finally let my Mi 11 lite rest in peace (it's on its final breaths).

I use my phone for: browsing, texting, etc & occasional quick photo imports/edits from my DSLR camera using lightroom (high RAM usage).

I don't need my phone to have a good camera, but I would like to have good battery life, minimal bloating and just a chill phone, not too large or heavy preferably, and no overheating issues.

I was looking at some secondhand Poco f7 pro, f8 pro or ultra, or maybe Xiaomi 15 or 17 any of those, but I'm open to suggestions. Would love to hear your thoughts & recommendations!

Discussion Slow scrolling on Xiaomi phones

I have a Xiaomi 15T Pro, but I’ve noticed this on all Xiaomi phones.

I’ve observed that when you scroll something (a web page, settings, Facebook, etc.), the scrolling is slower compared to other phones from any brand.I don’t mean that the scrolling is choppy — simply that, with the same finger movement, the scrolling speed is lower, which means you don’t reach the bottom of the page as quickly. With this phone, for example, I need to swipe my thumb more times than I do on other phones to get to the end of a page.Is there a way to adjust this? I haven’t found anything online.

Discussion Best Phone -- Xiaomi Redmi 13C 5G or Samsung Galaxy A14 5G?

Hello everyone! I've ran to a big problem while shopping for a phone.

I found a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G for 140 Euros and the Redmi 13C for 90 Euros.

I'm a really budget-conscious guy, which means every Euro counts.

I'm not really siding with the Samsung since my Older Sister has the same phone and had a terrible experience.

It lagged, crashed, randomly rebooted....i don't care about performance, i care about stability.

Can you help me?

Xiaomi Redmi 13C (6/128) vs. Samsung Galaxy A14 5G (4/128)

Xiaomi Robot S40 goes Offline very often

Hey guys, how you doing?

I'm having bug connectivity problems with my xiaomi s40 robot vacuum. It's already the second time only this month that he goes offline even tho my router says it's connected to the wifi. And when resetting the wifi connection and entering again my home's wifi it just doesn't connect... the last time I had to so many weird and complicated steps to connect it, it took my a good hour or more. And I really don't understand what's wrong. In my tplink deco be22 I set up the connection with it to be always on the 2.4ghz and to connect to only one node. What is happening and doesn't anyone else have the same problem?
