I'm tired boss... I searched up "blues", autoplayed, recognised AI bullshit. Then looked up a playlist of top blues songs to avoid it, first 3 were ok, then the songs turned into AI again. Looked into it further and the first result "TOP 100 Greatest Blues Songs Of All Time" playlist was made in 2026 by some slop-factory. ffs.

whenever i am not connected to wifi, somehow i can swipe right to queue the song, but when im not, i cant and it doesnt work. why? and how to make it work with wifi.
r/YoutubeMusic • u/ExIsTeNtIaL_ShIt • 4h ago
A way to add with a swipe to to add a song to the queue. Even better, a way to personalize swiping left/right to delete songs, add to a playlist, add to a queue, or add to favorites.
A connected player so you can switch your music using another device like your phone if you are hearing music or watching videos on TV.
More artist information and socials. Many artists don't have profiles or any way to connect, and with so much AI, having an online presence is a must.
The song DNA feature from Spotify is one of my favorite features, and Google, as the biggest search engine company, should already have it implemented.
The download function in the playlist is buggy as hell; you add songs to a playlist on a device, and they don't download on others.
Another great feature is smart playlists; YT already has AI, but its implementation sucks. Just let me use the metadata of the songs so I can make playlists on my own.
Furthermore, the 5k limit on playlists is ridiculous. Many people are avid listeners, and 5000 songs is too few. Especially since downloaded content can manage more than those 5K already.

Youtube music used to be amazing but the algorithm that has been out for the last few months is so terrible. I assume shitty AI integration?
Sometimes on autoplay it just plays songs with no views at all: not saying that is bad always, but it seems to me more like a way they are promoting since the old music discovery was so good. Now it will play AI songs or songs that are nothing like the last.
OR when I play a song, it'll play songs that are not related at all to the song I originally played, like a genre I might listen to other times, but I am NOT looking for it at the time of that song. Also, when you skip a song it will "tune" your next songs... sometimes I love a song but just want to skip it that time. So frustrating!

Please add a built-in group listening feature similar to Spotify Jam. It would be great to create live, synchronized listening sessions so friends can listen together and manage a shared queue in real time

I have no reach, so no conversation about if they are good or bad.
I don't know how to reach any audience.
Therefore I came to reddit, hoping to find some answer, solution to this.
I don't want the reason for my failure to be YouTube's decision to not show my video to the public.
Moreover, I am alone in all this work.
So, I really am posting this with hope that; people will checkout my songs and will care to give some reviews, start conversations about them.
P.S. They are good enough to give a try...otherwise i wouldn't be making effort to write this long essay on reddit.đ«Ąđ„č

My wife showed me Primus, an experimental 90s rock band. I play 'My Name is Mud', let it rock and three songs later it's playing a 'band' called Weeping Grease (??). Look em up. Millions of hits on youtube, near-zero non-algorithmic web presence and the only chatter from humans is this exact topic. AI music.
It's offensive. What is Youtube thinking? I can't use the product like this.

so I recently switched from just a yt music subscription to a youtube and yt music subscription and this title that says "you have premium access" has been on my fyp for more than 2 weeks and it's kinda annoying and I was wondering if it's going to go away?

I do not understand the point of having a samples between home and search. Critical functions both home and search as well as library. What is the significance of samples among them? What critical function does it serve? I feel hatred towards this irreverence towards the users. Unless the app can magically find out what mood I am in and deliver the exact thing or the closest, I donât want it.
YT music PMs, please do us a favour and remove samples from the navigation bar. If you must keep this feature, please tuck this somewhere under search.

So I'm not sure if YT Console made a new glitch or not, so here's what happened.
Two days ago I turned on my Xbox and decided to go to YT Console's Music tab. Usually after pressing on one of the videos while in the music tab on console will make an automatic mix, but not this time. This time it just treats it like I'm in any other tab and doesn't automatically make a mix of songs I listen to. I thought YT Console's Music tab was supposed to act like the original YT Music.
Not sure if this counts as a YT Music issue, but it's in the YouTube Console Port, specifically in its "music tab". It's not required to have autoplay on, simply because this tab acted like the original Youtube Music. Like I said, it is supposed to automatically make a music mix (even with autoplay off), but lately it hasn't been doing that.
What is going on, and how do I fix this? Is it supposed to be doing this?

Ive been trying to play music all day, but it just doesnât work. it plays the song, plays the adds, but no sound comes ou. it doesnât even start the song it stays perpetually at 0:00 no matter what I do. I can skip to the middle of a song, but itâll still be frozen. is this a common bug or am I just dumb? (app version on iphone)

This grinds my gears so frikken hard. If I want to change the settings on my phone I will gotdang do it myself.
Here's the thing, I've got limited data, so I have my phone set to not stream while it's off wifi. I have like 8gb of music DLed. I pick a playlist (full of DLed songs), set it to shuffle on repeat. Now I have music while I driving or out and about. Everything's perfect.
Seems like every couple of months google decided it knows better than me and turns on "auto queue" or music discovery or some new BS I didn't ask for, I didn't have turned on, and which causes the whole app to immediately stop working because it's "helpfully" trying to stream some new music it thinks I'll like but it can't stream it because I'm driving and don't have wifi - which also means I can't easily fix things, because again, I'm driving.
If I want to change the settings, I'll do it myself. Sure, give me a popup when I open the app and ask if I'd like to try it - that's fine - but don't farking spring it on me 10 minutes into a 40 minute drive.

So now my most recent likes are at the BOTTOM of the Playlist and I cant play the list in reverse. Anyone know how to fix this or this is another stupid ass ghost update that fucks with shit and cant be reversed?
Id like all my recent likes at the top and to play recent to older.

In youtube music on Apple carplay, it will show last played at the top second option on launch, but then it changes to podcast once selected. I dont want podcasts to be the second item at the top of the carplay screen, I donât even use YouTube music for podcasts.
Why canât it just auto resume what was just playing last time in the app? It teases you with âlast playedâ at the top which changes to âpodcastsâ the second I go into that menu.
I just want it to pick off where it left off. It did that last app update for the first time ever, now itâs screwed up again.
Any solutions?

What does the circled number mean? Is it the last time the playlist had a song added/removed, or the last time the playlist was played?

I want to use YouTube Music on my workplace PC, but I do not want to sign into my full personal Google account there.
Signing in through the browser exposes much more than music: Gmail, YouTube history, account settings, saved sessions, and other personal data. On a workplace or shared PC, that is unnecessary privacy risk.
A proper desktop app should allow a YouTube Music-only session, with no browser-wide Google login and an easy logout that removes local data.

I guess all of us are familiar with this: You have built your playlists over time and listened to certain tracks over and over again - until the point where you start to get tired of them. However, you may not want to remove them from your playlist for good, but only archive so that you still have them saved in case you want to listen to them again in the future.
I may have overlooked that function while doing some research on it, but unfortunately couldn't find it: Is there a way to archive tracks in a playlist/place that YT Music has specifically designed for this purpose? I know, a possible workaround could be to create a new playlist and call it "Archive [name of the playlist]". But it would be more elegant if that playlist was hidden so that I don't double the number of playlists I have created and curated over time and eventually lose the overview of my gallery.
Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to share this but I made a little plugin to display popular and trending music. You can either see global trends or choose your country.
For those who use Trmnl eink display might find it cool!
