Standard bic lighter inside for scale - lid does not close.

I have a few of them. I dont want or need any more containers to store stuff in. Was gonna make little sewing kits to put in the free pantries/libraries around, but then I worried about kids taking them and touching needles. 🙃

Any ideas?

I use these in my purse to hold some qtips, floss, and safety pins, since these are the "annoying" things when you're away from home that you wish you had. Hate when I feel something in an area you can't reach lol. And safety pens just in case of wardrobe malfunction.

For little libraries, I’d suggest either

- stubby pencils and small scrolls of paper

- small first aid kit supplies

- threaded needles stabbed through a bit of scrap cloth, with instructions on mending or making a small cloth toy.

You can cut up some corks to put on the sewing needles if you have any, or use some hot glue... If you make a big blob it can be used as a needle caddy too

In college I used these to hold worn down razor blades from art projects so they weren’t raw dogged in the trash. I think at one point I got about 30 blades in. :)

I saw someone use an empty gum container as a paint palette. I feel like you could use this to hold paints. Maybe label it as “watercolor paint” and stick some swatches on the outside, and then put them in the free pantries/libraries.

Oh and you can wrap the outside with some duct tape for quick repair work.
