Youve absolutely fallen for ragebait here. That woman just wanted her 15 minutes of fame, she's CLEARLY asked for it to say that. Newsflash, disabled people can lie about things on the Internet just as much as non disabled people.
Why the fuck would it actually read "happy wheelchair birthday" (which it does) if it was supposedly meant to be some shitty person calling the woman "wheelchair"

that is very unfortunate but I don't think that's abelist. that is basically just the instruction for the server written on the plate by accident

Why would the instruction for the server be "Happy birthday wheelchair?" Genuinely curious.

Well, servers are not printers. He/she should've realized and pointed out that there is something wrong with the phrase "Happy Birthday, Wheel Chair!".

Yeah thatâs what I noticed too. It looks like someone wrote âhappy birthdayâ and then some asshat thought itâd be funny to add âwheelchairâ

I didn't pick up on that fact (don't have my glasses on lmao), but this was 100% faked by the woman. Initially I presumed she just asked for it like that, but if it's definitely 2 different peoples handwriting, she has absolutely just added that bit herself (or possibly asked a friend to). It's clearly just ragebait and attention seeking either way. Funnily enough, disabled people can do shitty things like that just as much as non disabled people

Yeah I wouldnât be surprised if thereâs some disabled rage baiters out there that use their conditions for content.
Sucks because we should be highlighting actual cases of ableism, not made up scenarios :(-2

that's not even what the message said. if anything it says "happy wheelchair birthday"

That makes it better?

Well, no, not in the context of a birthday. But could it legit have been a misunderstanding that she was celebrating her birthday and not her wheelchair's gotcha day? Yeah, maybe. DEFINITELY the kind of thing to get clarification on before just writing on dessert though. Yikes.
