I have a whole library of cringe memories in my head dating back to 20+ years ago.

“Man, I still feel really bad about what I said to him in kindergarten “ - me, 36

Oh, you too?

My cringe sometimes makes me cry. Omg.

Same. But I at least focus on the right stuff for like half the time...up from way less whole unmedicated.

Yeah. I spent an hour Windexing my windows tonight because... I'm not sure why. But I was laser focused on it until it was done.

Works fine for me.. for a few hours. But those few hours I feel normal and can do normal people things

Haaate the wear off period, it's like my mind needs to make up for the obsessive thoughts and unengaged distractions all at once

Talk to your dr. You can take an IR during the wear off period (typically a low dose) which will temporarily increase the stimulant levels as Vyvanse slowly works its way out of the system. Then since the IR wears off faster the weird end of the stimulant period goes away quicker. (This is a very reduced explanation since I don’t have much time. Just know there are things that can help).

I've tried that before and the it definitely helps a lot. I've only tried Mydayis a handful of times and from my experience it doesn't have the same problem with the harsh wear of period, however it's effects on focus/motivation are a lot more milder but also more consistent than other medications so not of a trade off. Ultimately I find a mix of xr and ir works the best for me

I can’t not use Vyvanse since it’s the only stimulant that has a slow enough rise/fall to not drive me insane. I’ve been told that my ASD likely makes me a ‘lil’ sensitive. Also can’t use any IR above 5mg without feeling… weird.

My workaround for this is to be doing what I need to be doing when it kicks in. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to be at full capacity for me, depending on what I eat for breakfast. Otherwise I'll be doing the "wrong" thing for like an hour before I can switch

It gets me stuck on my special interests too much. Albeit I like my special interests so as long as I don’t get stuck on anxiety stuff again I’m happy.

It made me very randy.

That happened to me too, on the 40mg dose. It made my hyperfocus way worse and suddenly I'm eight hours in to repotting every plant in the house without having any food or water or breaks and my brain is convinced that if I don't finish it perfectly the world will end.

But then doc and I cut it back to 30mg and it was much better. I can actually start tasks and do them "good enough for now" instead of perfectly. I actually notice when my body is telling me to stop, now. (Sometimes I still choose to ignore it because reasons, but at least its a conscious decision now and not a compulsion.)

So...idk maybe reducing dosage could work for you?

Have you ever talked to your doc about Strattera (Atomoxetine) op? It’s not for everyone but I’ve tried both and it really turned down the volume on my overthinking. Tyvense turned me into a lil business man 😅

Did you use them together?

No but I’ve seen that being done before (worked in a pharmacy once)

Can we get a second sewer pipe having to now drown in AI output and having to paree theough it?

It helps me more alert to threats. Great for driving. A source of anxiety otherwise.

You just gotta find the right game or whatever to overthink about, like Factorio. You still aren't getting things done, but at least you're able to sit down and have fun for a while, which isn't usually an option

And if you can force yourself to do the things you need to be doing before it really kicks in, then you can usually keep doing them

I don't like this picture, it is creepy. Why? Oh yeah, brain is wrong.
