Life isn't a race. You're not getting that wasted time back so you might as well just look ahead anyways.

True but it kinda is, you're ever so slightly older and closer to death every day, once you hit 30 you can see that some options have definitely closed forever, I like your sentiment more but I also live in my head with this so maybe some therapy for me

Life still isn't a race, and you had options that were closed to you before you were even born. As long as there is still a way forward why does it matter? At the end we are just creatures on a floating speck of dust, no one will care about whether Joe "beat" you in life 100 years from now. If you can get to a place where you can support yourself in life and do the things that make you happy then that's enough.

Yeah, but you can’t become an ATC or airline pilot after 27 for example. Doesn’t matter if you’d be the very best at the job. Airlines and airports just say ‘no’.

And being an ATC / airline pilot isn't the only option in your life. And everyone has options that are cut off from them. Just like how I couldn't have been an NBA player from conception because I inherited genes that make me short. You can focus on the fact that you can't do many things but that's going to just distract you from the many things that you can do.

Going to get diagnosed as an adult and being told to just use a planner and make other people organize things for you.

This my fear, I have to wait til November to get my results...

Im going to another doctor for a second opinion. The psychologists reasoning for why it couldn't be adhd was that I didn't show enough symptoms in childhood. Of course I did well in elementary and was a joy to have in class but I was also deeply afraid of authority so I never acted out. I definitely had symptoms as a child lmao

We may have been diagnosed as adults, but if we got here, we have something that has kept us going in life 💪🏼 we got this

I'm still working on playing catch up since I was diagnosed in 2020, there's still so much, but I need funds and been working as much OT, to buy stuff sooner, but also it's taking time and energy to the point in laughing and internally crying at the memes about having a lot of video games but no time or energy to play them

For me it was more like “I KNEW IT! Okay back to life being shit.”

Next up “how the hell did no one realize I have ADHD”

Wait. Futures full of opportunity? When does that start?

the time passed by( be it wasted or enjoyed) is not coming back. so why not make the most of whats left so as to not have any more regrets.
