Nowadays, these are the things that made me smile. Eversince being unemployed, I used my extra money to buy anything that I can sell and make even a small income.

i’m not that knowledgeable about crypto. all i really hear is “dca” or “just load on it,” so during june when it kept going down every time i checked, i eventually just stopped looking and left it alone

my original goal was just to leave at least $1,000 in crypto and put the rest of my money somewhere less volatile. then i completely forgot about it for 3 months

checked it again today and holy shit 😭 i deposited around 55k, and it actually reached 102k???

apparently ignoring your investments is my strategy now 💀

I'm a 20F college student and working as a full-time VA, finally got to start saving up after I'm almost done paying off my phone and laptop HAHAHAHA started working in April with a salary of 28k and now I'm up to 40k per month after several promotions.

Aiming for 100k by December since I'm putting aside 3k-6k per week. Super thankful I can shoulder payments for my parents, spoil them and myself whenever I can. I definitely went through a spending all my sahod on useless but makes me happy stuff phase but it's time to lock-in an save for a capital on small business I'm planning, hehehe.

Hello! I am F24 and I am a working student. Actually, I was a student and 2 years in college na when I decided to work for my Family.

Back then, I don't have money, I can't buy foods after school or be with friends/school mates kasi walang budget eh so I decided to work. Umabot ako ng 3 years in college pero nagstop din eventually kasi mas nagfocus ako sa pagta-trabaho.

2 years later after stopping sa school, I decided to study ulit kasi gusto ko talagang makapagtapos and I am happy na supportive yung bf ko, he let me buy things I need sa school and thankfully, back office ako sa job ko kaya hindi masyadong pagod.

I just want to share the recent purchase I made sa isang bag that healed my inner child. I love pink and cute things talaga and I am sooo happy noong dumating to kanina😭

Not to brag or what, alam kong mas mahal at maganda pa yung mga bag nyo sakin. I just want to share lang kasi achievement talaga sakin bumili ng mamahalin na bag. 1.4k+ ko siya nabili so namamahalan na talaga ako than my other bags na 150-300 lang😭

Younger me would’ve spent this money on something stupid. Adult me is apparently excited about buying dishwashing liquid in bulk. Small win, but a win nonetheless. 😂

Fantasy ko talaga magkaroon ng cabinet room or pantry na puno ng food stocks and essentials, yung tipong hindi ka na masyadong magwo-worry kapag may biglaang kailangan hahaha. I don’t even know what it’s called exactly, basta yun yung dream ko 😂

Anyways, I’m just so happy because galing lahat ’to sa salary ko 🥹 Finally, I have enough stocks of basic things that we need to survive minor inconveniences hahaha. And I don’t know why, but I’m so kilig every time I look at this old cabinet. 😭

This was actually made by my papa a long time ago, and it used to be where we kept our clothes. Then I did some decluttering at home, and instead of getting rid of it, I decided to reuse it as my little grocery stock cabinet.

I know this is such a small thing, but seeing all these things that I bought from my own salary makes me genuinely happy. 🥹

Adulting is apparently getting excited over canned goods, coffee, shampoo, and dishwashing liquid. 😂 Honestly, I love it.

After paying all the bills for this month, may natira pang hulog sa EF ko. 🎉🥹

Nagugulat pa rin ako kapag gumagastos ako nang malaki para sa sarili ko.

Minsan, kahit kaya ko naman, may boses pa rin sa isip ko na nagsasabing, “Kailangan mo ba talaga ’yan?” “Tama pa ba ’to?” “Hindi ba mas okay kung i-save ko na lang?”

Siguro dahil ganito ako pinalaki.

Lumaki ako sa pamilyang kailangang magtipid. Hindi kami mayaman, pero hindi rin naman sobrang salat. Nakakaraos, pero may mga panahong kinakapos din.

Kaya bata pa lang ako, natuto na akong dumiskarte.

Noong elementary ako, kapag may project na stitching, ako na ang bahala sa buong klase. Ako na ang bibili ng materials, basta may dagdag na ₱5.00.

Noong high school, sinadya kong dalhin ang maja na gawa ng nanay ko para mapatikim at maibenta. Ayun, nakabenta ako ng 30 pieces.
Noong SHS, natuto akong mag-online selling hanggang sa pandemic.

Noong college, nahirapan kami dahil kailangan kong mag-dorm. Kaya nagtrabaho ako bilang assistant teacher sa Kumon habang nag-aaral.
Hindi ko alam noon, pero lahat pala ng maliliit na bagay na ’yon ang nagturo sa akin kung paano maging madiskarte, matatag, at higit sa lahat, kung gaano kahirap kumita ng pera.

Kaya siguro hanggang ngayon, may part sa akin na nahihirapang gumastos para sa sarili ko.
Kaya sobrang weird sa feeling na ngayon, kaya ko nang kumain sa Jollibee. Kaya ko nang pumunta sa restaurant na ₱400 pataas ang pagkain. Kaya ko nang bumili ng mga bagay na dati, tinitingnan ko lang.

Kasi dati, ₱20 lang ang baon ko.

At minsan, may natitira pang ₱10.

Kaya nitong nagpaayos ako ng buhok at gumastos ng ₱4,500, hindi ko ma-explain kung bakit naluluha ako.

Masaya ako.

Pero may guilt pa rin.

Siguro hindi dahil sayang ang ₱4,500.

Siguro dahil naaalala ko ’yung batang ako na kailangang isipin kung saan mapupunta ang bawat piso.

At ngayon, ako na ’yung taong kayang sabihin sa sarili niya na, “Okay lang. Pinaghirapan mo naman ’to.”

Habang sinusulat ko ’to, narealize ko…

Hindi pala ako nasa starting point pa.

Malayo pa ako sa mga pangarap ko, oo.
Pero malayo na ako sa kung saan ako nagsimula.

At maybe, deserve din ng batang ako na makitang hindi nasayang lahat ng pagod niya.

Na ’yung batang natutong dumiskarte para may dagdag na ₱5.00…

Siya rin pala ’yung magiging dahilan kung bakit isang araw, kaya ko nang gumastos ng ₱4,500 para sa sarili ko nang hindi kailangang humingi ng kahit kanino.

May guilt pa rin.

Pero this time, may saya na rin.

And I think that’s progress.

Sa 2027, goal ko makapag-start nang mag-ipon at makahanap ng trabaho na doble ng sahod ko ngayon.

Hindi ko pa alam kung gaano katagal bago ko marating lahat ng gusto ko.

Pero isang bagay ang sigurado ako:

I just saw a post that celebrates their first job win and I also just wanna share mine. I couldn't believe that I'll be able to receive such amount since before I thought having above minimum salary (700-800) is good enough. I'm very grateful with this win. W's in da chat 🙏

Ex-girlfriend broke up with me recently so I focused my energy to working out and minding my diet. Then after a month, I got regularized sa work.

I guess malayo pa pero malayo parin, pero small thing is still a win hahaha. Kaya pa to bago matapos ang end of the year. Kayo rin guys, baka may tips kayo for saving.

i lost my job last june 2025. i barely had savings and my separation pay was not that much. it was an eye-opening time for me and it felt that reality hit me hard. it was the start of my quarter-life crisis 😅 i am 25 and a partial breadwinner. it was so hard to find a new job and i still had to give kahit wala na kong trabaho. then i became a project-based employee last nov until now. i am still trying to find a better job and side hustles or other source of income since di na rin talaga sapat ang full-time salary sa panahon ngayon 😅

anyway, i just wanna share ‘cause this is really a win for me na partial breadwinner. sometimes i can’t help but to compare my progress with other people, but then again, we have our own paces in life and we came from different backgrounds. but this is what a win looks like for me!

My first formal employment and first pay after graduating college last month. First cut off pay to and I'm super happy about it. Natatandaan ko non sa mga pinasukan kong tindahan, 100 pesos pero day lang ako. 20 pesos don ay mapupunta pa sa pamasahe. The rest ay panggatas ng kapatid ko at pangbigas at ulam.

I got my first salary cut-off sa first job ko. I'm so grateful to have a job kahit next month pa graduation ko. Nagcashout ako agad ng ibibigay ko kay mommy pagkatapos ng shift. I just feel so proud.

I have tried to set aside 1.5k a month before for years. But sht happens so I needed to spend it. I work multiple jobs kaya may point in time na 4x a month ako kung sumahod kaya 1k per cut off ang savings. But now kailangan magbawas ng work due to stress. I'll to rollover this every cut off including the interes. ✨

First time ko tatagan loob ko na magmanage ng sariling clinic. Mahirap pala. Araw araw mo iisipin saan ka kukuhang pangbayad ng lahat. Sabi nila pag nakagraduate na raw, giginhawa na ang buhay kapag may trabaho na o pinagkakakitaan. Akala ko rin kapag nakagraduate ka na ng medisina, mabilis lang daw ang pasok ng pera. Ito ako ngayon, nagbibilang ng butiki o kaya ng alikabok :) araw araw pa rin nagpapakita kasi baka balang araw, dumami na rin pasyente ko. Masaya naman ako kasi suportado ako ng magulang ko para sa future ko. Okay! Bilang na ulit tayo ng butiki.

Ang goal ko every cutoff is 5k diretso agad sa savings.

Ang tipid tips na ginagawa ko is mas okay bumili sa grocery store kaysa bumili sa tindahan lang.

Maliit man ang difference sa price, pero kapag paulit ulit kang bumibili malalaman mo yung difference hehe.

This week’s thrift haul 🛍️

One of the things I really enjoy is thrifting. I grew up with parents who also loved thrifting, and even when we could afford to buy brand-new clothes, we’d still go to ukay.

Now that I’m in my mid-30s, I’ve become much wiser (and more patient) with thrifting. Early last year, I still had moments when I’d buy clothes during new arrivals, only to realize later that getting good-quality branded pieces for as little as ₱33 feels so much better.

This year alone, I’ve bought 44 items for a total of ₱4.4k, and that includes jackets, sweaters, pants, long sleeves, track pants, overalls, etc. So I’m definitely taking this as a win. 😂

I’ve always considered myself frugal, and even now that I can afford to buy brand-new clothes, I’d still choose secondhand, not just because it’s cheaper but also because of the sustainability aspect.

I enjoy dressing up and experimenting with clothes, but I’m also someone whose lifestyle doesn’t inflate with my salary. I’d rather find a good-quality secondhand piece for a fraction of the price than pay full price just because I can.

Anyway, here’s my thrift haul for this week! 🛍️

After working for 6 full days, I finally got my first cut! 🥹 Not much, but it really hits differently when you realize that despite having a small business on the side, having a stable salary still gives you a different sense of security.

The ₱7K total isn’t entirely my salary though it already includes the ₱3K monthly maintenance balance I need to keep in the bank. Still, it feels good to finally receive my first cut after all the work and training. Happy pay day to all. 🤍

Mahilig ako mag bulk buying kasi I’m a working momma and I have two toddlers. Nasa rural area din kami, kaya palengke, 7/11, alfamart at osave meron lang dito sa bayan. My husband works in Manila kaya weekends lang siya nakakauwi samin.

Kapag nakikita ko pantry ko naiiyak ako. 😭
