While in the dentist waiting room I chatted with an energetic fellow that told me about his experience growing up in the SF Bay Area. I noticed his tattoo on his arm and asked when he got it. He said he was stationed in Hawaii in 1956 in the Marines and got this tattoo while drunk. It's a cartoon rabbit head. I asked if he was tattooed by Sailor Jerry and he said no.

The second tattoo was done in Pescardero California when his family lived out there. I was blown away by how bold this piece is! I really enjoyed our conversation and he was very grateful about our chat.

This was my second tattoo ever and it is definitely showing its age now.

I always wanted to post here but I was waiting for our 10 year anniversary ish I don't remember the exact date but just my age at the time of getting the tattoo.

This tattoo was a joint one with a best friend - very different to my usual style.

I am pleased with how it looks after 3 years with no touch ups!

thinking of putting the sinister 6 to make a full sleeve. thoughts?

Got this in 2005 when I was obsessed with “The Venture Brothers”. Don’t remember the artist’s name but it was from a shop in the Mid City/Culver City area of LA. The line work was never particularly great but I’m impressed at how well some of the color has stuck. Location is inside of upper arm. No old pic because MySpace no longer exists.

Got the octopus done 18 years ago and the rest 17 years ago. I don’t like it anymore and wish I had gone more realistic with the octopus and less alien, but it’s held up pretty well!
