Sports First Game/Tailgating

Howdy guys!! I’m currently a freshman and I plan to go to the first game this weekend, I’ve never been to any sports events here at A&M and i dont really know a lot of people that are planning to go either. I mainly just want to know how gamedays work and what i should know/plan for beforehand. And I am interested in tailgating but i’m not too sure how it works, and if you have to pay or be in certain orgs to participate. Also I do live off campus so I wanted to know what’s the best way to go about transportation!? Thanks :)

Game day buses run 3 hours before the game starts. You can bring in an unopened plastic water bottle so you don’t have to buy one inside.

There are many on-campus organizations that tailgate at Spence Park. Just strike up a conversation with one of them, and they will gladly have you join them.
