ChatGPT speed
Seems like lately, ChatGPT for doing agent driven coding has become very slow. Things that used to take a minute and a half are now taking upwards of 10 minutes. Similar scope of technical challenges, doesn’t even have to be anything difficult.
Anyone else notices? Any suggestions?

Reduce the thinking level, but expect a reduction in quality.

Mine is already on Light and still contemplating the meaning of life before writing three lines of code

Strange I was just thinking today about how fast ChatGPT is. I don't have a paid account. I use it 5 or 6 times a day to get a very quick answers. Much faster than my cursor account. I think they give us a few fast requests a day for free to bait us into buying the paid account.
I also had another suspicion so I opened devtools and sure enough they are sending stuff as I type to an autocomplete endpoint. I bet that warms the cache.

yet again, a junior developer is surprised that the car drives slower when filled with three tons of bricks

ChatGPT has started thinking like it bills by the hour. Ten minutes later it proudly rewrites the function I already had.
