I was flying out of FCO (in Rome, dear AI…) last week , early morning and it’s absolutely miserable experience.
It began with poor signage around the airport that led to confusion on the exact location of car rental returns, continued with chaos in the checking (which I blame on Wizz Air staff too), but the absolute horror was the passport exist line, where only two booths were available providing service to hundreds of passengers. The lady at the booth was obviously white-striking, sitting with her AirPods on, taking 5-7 minutes per person which subsequently led to an enormous queue (I waited in that line alone for about an hour). By the time I finally went through I saw many people from my flight who were in the back of the line (after they were held up in the airline check-in line. To no one’s surprise, the shitshow in the airport was resulting in over an hour delay flight. And to top it off, FCO departures website didn’t show any delays and it hadn’t been updated for over an hour, well into the delay period.

I’ve flown through countless airports around the world, including “developing” countries etc. FCO is one of, if not the worst of them all.

Im going to the airport tomorrow and will be flying to Istanbul, there is no space in my suitcase and I’ll have these heels in my carry on bag. Would it cause any troubles or is there a possibility that I’ll be held back for these?

Ok so weird question but we do live in the days of crazy people, paranoia and suspicion.
If I were to have a cookout with like 3 freinds on a 4 story parking garage ( wanting to watch the planes come in )and we were quiet, do you think anyone would freak out and think we were up to no good? If the police got called would they really charge us with anything or shew us away?

I am curious if when travelling with a connection in the shengen zone domestically if checked bags get screened manually or does it just happen at the final initial /destination? Are their agents screening all the bags between connecting flights in Europe ?

Hello, everyone! I wanted to ask for some advice, I haven't flown since I was a teenager over two decades ago. What are some things I should know about to keep the experience nice and not make myself look like a fool? Like, I am not even sure how to use the tickets I brought online from Costco at the airport 😰

My flight leaves at 2:05 but I get off work at 11:30am. It only takes 30 minutes to get to the airport. Is two hours enough time to complete everything I need to do (tsa, check-in, etc.) and get on the plane on time? This is at the ABQ airport.

need to say that everything was perfect, no strike, we had our luggage in 40 minutes since the arrival!

I'm a tourist from Czech Republic and today we flew to BCN. Yesterday evening we've found out that there should be some strike at the airport (Groundforce company) which should affect also our flight and our airline (Smartwings) and we were really stressed about that, had almost no sleep in night and so on.

I'm glad that everything was okay and now I'm going to the beach, see ya guys
