I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular scenario.
I've contacted a shop who claims that the WBP Jack .223 is capable of shooting 5.56x45 NATO as well, regardless of the PSI differences in the cartridges.

As far as I am aware, WBP Jack does not offer a .223 Wylde barrel option, so I wonder how accurate that claim is? I do not wish my rifle to blow up in my face because one shop claims something. Unfortunately I can not find any other data on this, since I am the only one to ask this question so far.

I’m having an issue getting this Midwest industries dust cover to fit on my WASR 10 under folder. Do I need to file the back of the dust cover a little bit? Just wanna make sure I’m not crazy before I do it. Also it seems like the area for the rivet in this video won’t line up correctly if I do file it.

I have a 2002 Molot VEPR K in 7.62x39 that I am planning for a KNS retrofit (AGP-16-L). It’s my understanding on the VEPR requires that dimple to be drilled. Then the KNS piston base itself needs to be drilled through the carrier so a roll pin can be pushed through. Does anyone have any tips on the whole process? I was thinking of clamping it under a drill press. I’ve seen recommendations to use padded bench vise jaws and just use a cobalt drill bit in a hand drill.

Are there any recommended parts substitutions like the use of a titanium coiled roll pin or such?

The gas port measures 0.095” (90 degree Russian Gas block) and original barrel length was 16.5” and going down to 13” with a Form 1 SBR.

I also heard that a 5.45 bolt carrier is the correct size/fit for the 7.62 VEPR in case I needed a replacement.

I want to buy this rifle, but it only includes a 5-round mag. Does anyone know if there are compatible .223 magazines for a FEG NGM 223? or if I can adapt a .223 mag from other AKs to make it fit this one

I Finally got all my parts for a .223 saiga conversion to 101ish; Side folder and all the goodies. But I’m struggling to decide on the paint job and im looking for some inspiration. Should I go black or do a camouflage paint job. Anyone have pictures of their home painted or cerakoted Ak?

Spent the last few years seriously looking around and, like an idiot, watched them get more expensive the whole damn time instead of buying one when I should have.

Ended up bringing home this straight-cut Norinco MAK-90 that I won at auction. I’m already working on getting rid of the black tacticool furniture and bringing it back to a more classic look. I picked up a surplus Russian stock and matching upper/lower handguards, plus a Bulgarian bakelite grip. Should be quite the transformation once everything is fitted.

I also picked up a Chinese flatback mag that is still absolutely CAKED in cosmoline. Can’t wait to get everything together for the follow-up post.

Any advice or MAK-90 knowledge is much appreciated!

A few days late but wanted to share

Does this barrel, gas tube, sight alignment look correct? Been having issues with my shots going ~6 inches left at 50 yards even though my windage drum is cranked all the way to the left and I’m shooting from a bench with the handguard resting on a sandbag. I know the sights aren’t canted because I did the test where you rest the gun upside down on its sights and there was no wobble. Any thoughts? I wanna know if it’s just a skill issue (I’m not an amazing shot) or something I should look into.
