PvT How to react to a PvT 2 base push?
G1 new P. What's the correct response when I know a 2 base Marine & 2-3 tank push is coming?
Am I supposed to meet them halfway and get them to siege or do I just drop a whole bunch of cannon/shield bats? Do I drop several more gateways in anticipation -> morph to warp? Should I have a natural-Wall or is that just blocking myself in?

I find it easier to get quick charge, especially at lower levels. Natural wall is good for dealing with early hellions, but I find it makes things more difficult against 2 base all ins. Most important thing is to scout to see it coming in advance and spend your money on gateway units. Having a tight build order is key

tyty. I just assume if theres no 3rd, its a 2-base attack. I usually get blink first, but maybe charge first is better?

Blink requires good multitasking and micro. Even at low masters i lose a lot because my macro slips while controlling my stalkers. I find it a lot easier to just focus on massing chargelots which are also brain dead easy to control

I do this push as T on 2 bases where I get the tech lab upgrades and +1. There are plenty of options but if you are stalker heavy you will be in a bad spot. Stalkers are good for micro but not for st8 engaging this stimmed bio ball. So you can get a few stalkers like maybe 7-8 max and the rest should be adepts. I like adepts Vs T alot, they are very tanky, does shave marines and you can shade them on the tanks. Also you can use forcefields to split the bio and kill it at 2 3 portions. I guess chargelots can also deal. So the problem will bee if you are stalker heavy and slow zealots. Also if you can bait a stim and disengage and then force a second stim that would be huge.

Ty! Ill try to introduce some of the sentrys and spellcasters into the mix. I thought adepts were more harass units? So if a battle starts in the middle of the map, do I A move -> Shade all adepts onto siege tanks, continue to fight?

Well what the other guy said. Dont let the T get into position. If you go out there is a big chance to catch him off-guard and if they have to siedge the tanks forcefully then you will avoid few voleys and it will be a better fight for you. You can shade on the thanks and go back as the shades are about to finish move thw rest of the units forward. Or just a move, you can box few units on the left and then on the right and focus fire the tanks first.
People dont use adepta because they are nerfed but I think they are pretty solid because they synergies well with the rest of the gateway units and its nice to have them in front of your stalkers.
So when I play PvZ I go for just a Gateway comp, 2 base 6 gates double Forge and council, as I start floating gass but dont have minerals ill ad high templars and morph archons.
Zealots are nightmare to deal with a bio ball if there are no libs.

5.1k here. Always have stalkers right outside their base to meet their army when they decide to move out. Abuse blinks to poke at their army as they slowly march across the map.
After your standard blink opening and your 3rd is already underway, leave gateways un morphed to maximize production. Spam zealots and a few sentries with energy overcharge. Do not forget pylons. Keep chronoing charge.
Once they start to move across the map, all you should be thinking is: poke with blink, zealots, and pylons. As much as possible.
If you confirm 5rax with no 3rd cc, stop probe production when your 3rd is nearly saturated.
Before the actual right happens, hallucinate archons as meat shields and a fake colossus to bait.
Make sure to pop guardian shield when actually fighting and have it cover over your zealots.
If you have immortals, they need to target fire tanks and marauders.
If you get anti armored by a raven, DO NOT fight until it’s expired.

Ty I will try all this out. Probably wont be able to execute all at thr same time. But build the habit and logic

I tend to go robo as soon as I can get out an observer and send it over. Most times you can follow the push coming in and know exactly what you’re up against. Then pump immortals for the tanks and get a sentry with guardian shield and meet them on the map with your units.

Just rush charge from 2 base every game. Make sure you nail down the build. There is not a Terran until low masters that can hold if you execute half decently

How many zealots & gateways should I have on 2 base saturation, and the push then?

Pig has an interesting take on this build which I’d try. Check out his vods

Preferably you show up with your army and force them to siege and then after that you grab some zealots from your army and run them around into your opponents base to cut off reinforcements and kill scvs while macroing and defending with reinforcements from your gateways through it does depend sometimes if their going completely all in you would rather have those zealots with your army and leave a few to intercept units being rallied out

Stalkers with blink, meet them early on map and kite / pick away. Don't let them go uncontested to your natural and they siege
