Collection Should I open?
I have about half the set still boxed? Do I free them and complete the open collection or buy in-box for a full in box?

The art work looks awesome on the boxes but your already halfway with the out of box collection might as well just open them up to be with the rest I mean unless you’re trying to buy 2 of each which could get a little expensive as a few are not exactly cheap anymore..

As someone with the full Splatoon set who just finally opened the last ones and made a little display with all of them, they look so very very cool when they're all together and out of the box. If you can arrange them to make a colour gradient they look even cooler.

Majority of my collection is unboxed. I don’t have the room to keep them all boxed 😅

You can try to open one to see if you like it (unbox your least favourite one to see if unboxing it would make you like the figurine better). Or learn how to unbox without damaging the box itself

HELL NO! Keep them. Its plastic. It can last FOREVER.
One day even a squid race might unearth them and question evolution altogether.

Will opening them bring you joy? If so, yes.
Will getying a full collection of them boxed bring you more joy? If so, no.
